It's unfortunate that you chose to turn over $640 of Flight Credits from canceled flights in 2020, due to Covid, into LUV Vouchers that expired this February and REFUSE to do the right thing and either further extend them or turn them back into Flight Credits that never expire. I'm furious.

Southwest Airlines continues to monitor information from Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the impending 737 MAX software enhancements and training requirements. We remain confident that, once certified by the FAA, the enhancements will support the safe operation of the MAX.
We previously revised our flight schedule by removing the MAX through Oct. 1 to offer reliability to our operation and stability for our Customers. With the timing of the MAX’s return-to-service still uncertain, we are again revising our plans to remove the MAX from our schedule through Nov. 2.
By proactively removing the MAX from scheduled service, we can reduce last-minute flight cancellations and unexpected disruptions to our Customers’ travel plans. The limited number of Customers who have already booked their travel and will be affected by our amended schedule are being notified of their re-accommodated travel according to our flexible accommodation procedures. The revision will proactively remove roughly 180 daily flights from our schedule out of our total peak-day schedule of more than 4,000 daily flights.
We offer our apologies to our Customers impacted by this change, and we thank them for their continued patience.

Why you should not put the 737 Max back in your fleet even if its allow to fly: The plane has a design flaw. The software "fixes" are no such thing. They simply consist of software fighting a flawed structural design. Unfortunately, I have often flown the 737 Max before I was aware of this issue. Even more unfortunate and tragic, someone in my company died as a result of this flaw. She was in the Ethiopia crash. We all were put a risk for what? For Boeing to make more profits by using a flawed design rather than re-design. Greed over people, plain and simple. Before you did not know of this design flaw of this aricraft. Now you do. So the question for Southwest is, will you be as irresponsible as Boeing and put our lives at risk for profit? Or will you do the right thing and take this plane off your fleet?

Why is SWA snubbing Orange County on all of the recent promotions? Started doing this several years ago and I unfortunately had to switch to UAL which I don't want to do again if at all possible.

I hope its better than your old one - I just got used to SW messing with me. And just try to get customer service - its a joke. Will never fly SW again. They will one day realize that there are other airlines that people can fly and then maybe...just maybe they will learn how to treat their customers.

We are proud to announce that our loyalty program, Rapid Rewards®, once again ranked first in the annual Switchfly Reward Seat Availability Survey!
With no blackout dates and unlimited reward seats, we continue to differentiate our loyalty program from the rest, making redeeming for rewards flights simple, with more seat availability than any of our competitors.
In the survey, Rapid Rewards was named the loyalty program with 100 percent reward seat availability, keeping its position at the top for the 7th year in a row. Achieving a score of 100 percent availability is an even bigger feat than it sounds. This means that on every flight query run, Southwest had at least one reward seat available. The survey looks at the top 25 airlines' rewards programs, and while Southwest tied for first place, it actually did the best - offering a minimum of three flight choices for every query.
This year's survey findings show more than ever that frequent flyers are better served by the reward programs at value-oriented airlines - Southwest included. Along with the standard metrics that Southwest has succeeded in in the past, Switchfly recently began measuring "reward payback." Rapid Rewards blew away the competition here as well, with a 7.3 percent reward value per fare dollar spent - higher than 22 of the 24 competing airlines.

Prior to its inception in 2011, while researching and planning exactly how we would structure the All-New Rapid Rewards Program, availability was one recurring demand we heard from our Customers over and over again- you simply wanted to be able to use the points you had earned when you wanted, to go where you wanted, and the other programs didn’t allow that. So we listened. When we rolled out our new program, we touted “No Blackout Dates” and “Unlimited Reward Seats,” and those terms are not just marketing fluff- they are what differentiates us from all other frequent flyer loyalty programs.
For the fourth year in a row, Southwest Airlines has ranked number one on Switchfly’s Reward Seat Availability Survey with an outstanding 100 percent score—meaning on every flight query run, Southwest had a reward seat available! The survey looks at the top 25 airlines’ reward programs, and we tied for first with Air Berlin and Virgin Australia.
We also are proud of AirTran’s A+ Rewards program as it rose in the rankings to number three with seats available on 95 percent of the flight queries! The A+ Reward program award availability has risen 50 points on the survey since 2011, meaning fliers can now redeem seats on more AirTran flights than ever before!

The Switchfly Reward Seat Availability Survey is based upon 7,560 booking inquiries made by the IdeaWorksCompany at the web sites of 25 frequent flyer programs during March 2013.

The new program is awful! It used to be one flight = one credit. Now my one flight only got me 390 points and I need 1200 for a credit....So I have to pay 3 times as much? The only reason I kept going to Southwest was so eventually I'd be rewarded, but I guess it's back to Priceline and Expedia to find the cheapest airline...one that doesn't break its promises!

This "new and improved" RR program is so very disappointing. I too have gone out of my way to take SW flights exclusively and will not do that anymore. You will lose significant business from myself and others who went out of our way to fly SW due to a very easy, straight-forward and rewarding RR program. This new program is a complete mess, confusing and way over-complicated. It all comes down to the fact that you want more $/ticket and want to give out less- I get it from a business standpoint, but you did not take into account the business you will lose now because the program is not truly "rewarding" and the great reputation you built up that you are destroying.

Ryan,
I just got 4 new drink coupons in the mail today. Thanks very much - it was an unexpected surprise for this rapids reward member.
Sometimes I fly business select (which gives a free drink on my ticket) in the morning and am not able to redeem my drink coupon (not good to drive a rental car after drinking). It would be nice if it was still valid on either my return trip at the end of the week where I am done driving and on my way home - or on a different trip like a vacation. Any way you can get that to happen?

Totally agree with Bill!! (Freedom Award is BS!) Give back the Regular availability of Rapid Rewards seating with blackout dates!
As I wait for a reply from someone, again I picked up this months issue of Spirit magazine while traveling on Southwest Airlines as I do weekly. I re-read a line in the Star of the Month page that slipped past me the first time I read it and was again annoyed:
[ ..."Best Award Redemption", which recognizes the program that has the most frequent flyer award seats available for Customers to redeem. ]
Really?
Well, this number might be high enough to win an award from Inside Flyer Magazine, BUT, it's not high enough for me to make use of my rewards!
What does a Customer of Southwest (who is also a Rapid Rewards member, Companion Pass holder and "A" lister) have to do to get a seat using his Rapid Rewards?
I have tried countless times, months in advance, to use my Rapid Rewards to book trips to visit family or have them fly to visit me. The number of available Rapid Rewards seats currently available to Customers seems VERY limited. Most times when I do find an available seat with a Reward it's only for half of the trip I'm trying to book. Then I’m forced to pay to get a one way ticket on another airline for the second half of the trip.
What makes this lack-of-seats-inconvenience even sadder is, one time I had to PAY $405 for a second half of an itinerary ON SOUTHWEST because it was the cheapest. Why am I paying for tickets to book what should be, a free roundtrip book able with my large number of saved Rapid Rewards?
I (or any Southwest Customer) should not have to sit at the computer playing a game of chance in order to use their Rewards. It would be nice to see the number of available Rapid Rewards seats raised to a level where myself and others that frequently fly your airline might have a chance at booking one 3-4 months in advance.
Is that too much to ask?
Your Customers DON'T CARE about Freddie awards!
