@dugsage My sister just had a multi passenger reservation and she told me for them to each get there own mobile boarding pass each person needed to log in to there Rapid rewards account I am guessing if only one person has the app they could take turns logging in and taking a screen shot of the mobile pass and text it to one another or if everyone had there own app it should work just fine that way once they are logged in. one person on the reservation didn't have a Rapid rewards account so they just printed there pass like normal at the ticket counter. hope this helps Blake

Sorry to hear your bag was delayed and then they failed to deliver the day it arrived which caused you to miss work the next day but glad they did get the bag to you that next day. While I'm not sure if it would transfer at 25 hours I do know that others may be checked in at that time if they have connections to your flight for example if passenger A is going from AUS to MCO with a connection in HOU they would have an earlier check in time than if you were just going HOU to MCO so if you changed your ticket to this flight at 25 hours before that departure you may be automatically checked in at that time but you would be behind everyone checked in including passenger A even if he didn't buy EB so you could still have a B or C. but I am not too sure on if you are automatically checked in as soon as the change is made to your ticket. I know they can't bump people to board later in the boarding process after they are checked in though so you would be at the end of the line of EB people at a minimum and anyone checked in from connections. My my best advice would be to check in at the 24 hour mark anyways if you can to see if it has the EB logo on your pass and if it did check you in or not. if that logo isn't on the boarding pass then you would have been regular check in. @fungible If Both flights are on the same confirmation number then you should be covered however it may not let you book them together because it may be different fare classes which won't combine because southwest tries to stop point to point bookings on the same day which is what that type of reservation would be seems like they want you to have at least 4 hours between flights when I have tried to book this way in recent months. If you have to book it as 2 one ways then odds are you won't be covered just based off of what I was told by reservations agents on the phone In the past. Luckily for me I haven't had any issues when i have booked 2 one ways to get to where I am going so I can't say for sure if I would be covered or not as I haven't had that issue. Its also important to know if you book 2 one ways you will have to check you bags twice and on some point to point reservations they might make you check bags again so if your checking bags be careful so your bag isn't left behind on your layover Hope this helps Blake

Sorry your child was sick. The upgrade to the anytime fare rule has been around for some time now. I always tell people to check on the mobile site if you need to make a day of travel change just in case a WGA fare is available as they will try to get you to the anytime fare at the airport even if a WGA fare is available online. Just also thought i would let you know the other airlines sell a ticket called basic economy which won't allow you to standby either. if you buy the standard economy ticket they will still charge you to standby as there is no free standby anywhere unless you have status with an airline so just know you would still pay something to move flights unless your lucky and are apart of a weather waiver. Just curious did you try to call southwest reservations as maybe they have a way to check you in or at least get your boarding pass number even if you have to wait until you get to the airport to get your boarding pass? I would also recommend buying EB check in that way you can be checked in automatically so even if you get the SSSS you will still have a good boarding pass. You may also want to consider the upgraded boarding option if available at the gate to get you in the A1-15 group Blake

Personally I would recommend you wait and buy the tuna and chicken when you get to Florida from Publix, Walmart, or Winn dixie as it may be easier than trying to carry it on or check it as jars can break in checked bags and tuna clothing is not fun. I have also heard new TSA measures are being taken where people have to remove all food from there carry on bags so it could make security a pain and don't forget there is the liquid restriction going through security so if you renting a car I would say take a trip to the store on your way to the hotel or if your not they have Uber, Lyft, and LYNX buses that can get you to the store and back and will save you time at the airport making air travel less of a hassle since I know theme parks could be a pain especially with toy story land just opening this last weekend so best to save the extra energy for that. hope this helps and hope you have a fun trip! @raymondktaylor By booking your hotel through southwest you are booking through a 3rd party and most hotel chains will not give you points or stay/night credit by booking through a 3rd party like southwest or hotels.com now benefits being honored at the hotels that will depend on the hotel if you were to book on southwest call the hotel and add the Hyatt number before you arrive at the hotel that way when you check in the person st the desk will over look the 3rd party details. I have status with several hotel chains including Hyatt and when I have booked through 3rd parties I have received the benefits at the hotel like breakfast or lounge access and suite upgrades but usually don't get the points for the stay or night credit. I always recommend booking directly with the hotel if points and status with hotel chains is important to you and I always compare rates to see if I can find a better rate on a 3rd party website so if I do I can file a BRG claim which usually means a price match and a better discount or more miles (depending on hotel chains policy) and you get the hotel status benefits. If the points don't matter then sure book with southwest hotels to get points with southwest instead. If you have any further questions about this feel free to let me know. hope this helps Blake

@bturkish First off thank you for your service. I am not aware of any free drink coupons for first responders but maybe if you mention it to the Flight Attendant on your flight they might be able to get you a drink for free. i do know southwest does send out drink coupons to rapid rewards members ever 10 paid one way flights so be sure to sign up for rapid rewards if your not a member and you should be able to get free drink coupons later on after the 10 flights. hope this helps Blake

@Jcerk Sorry to hear about you and your wife's recent experience. from my experience southwest partners with hotels in cities for situations like this and unfortunately when the hotels are sold out by either southwest and other airlines filling them up or just sold out by the hotel itself then southwest can't give you a hotel so yeah there may be hotels in Nashville available but they may not be partners with Southwest therefore they can't put you in those other hotels. the best advice I have is to contact customer relations when travel is complete to discuss possible reimbursement but there is no guarantee that they will cover the hotel you booked but they might be able to issue a voucher though for the flight issues if it was documented as mechanical. hope this helps Blake

I don't believe they sell gift cards at the ticket counter you might be able to call southwest at hobby airport and ask though but I would recommend checking out the places @TheMiddleSeat suggested and you could also check out Amazon or eBay as I know I have seen them there but personally I would buy the gift card from southwest directly just in case you get a bad card on eBay (it's happened to me before with a iTunes gift card) Blake

@Mamie74 sorry you were disappointed on your most recent flight. on a short flight like DAL-HOU it can be tough to get out service in time before having to clean up the cabin for landing. I know there is some weather here in Texas today which I am guessing is why you were originally told no service but then deciding to do it I think is great. Personally I would be glad they didn't charge me ahead of time if they didn't know if they could get to me because I am sure i would be a little upset if I paid for a drink to not get it and it's a lot easier for the flight attendants to come by at the end and charge me instead of come by at the end and refund me. A lot of other airlines would not offer anything on a flight this short so I think it's great they tried to get service out even if they weren't able to get everyone a drink and snack before having to land. Hopefully they will be able to get you a drink and snack on the next flight. I have intentionally done some long unusual routings myself my most recent one being AUS-EWR-SAN-LAS it was a long day but got 2 flight dents towards re earning A List and well it met my goal of taking my longest southwest flight which was the EWR-SAN flight (6 hour 20min gate to gate) i have also done a RT in a day where I went LAS-AUS-DAL-ELP-PHX-OKC-HOU-AUS all started at 9pm Vegas time arriving in Austin at 5:30pm central (3:30pm Vegas time next day) that was my longest string of flights but that was my goal and the way I booked it it was $199, got me 3 A List credits, and got me a stop in a new airport that I had not flown to which was ELP. I have done some other crazy routes routes as well but those are a couple of my big highlights from this year so far. Blake

It threw me off as well when that first changed I was like whoa there. I like the added color but personally like the old way of wanna get away on the right. I have to watch now to make sure I don't click a BS ticket when I want the WGA ticket. I do like the website telling me how much of a difference I would have when changing a reservation on the select flights screen though because I don't always know what I paid for a ticket without going to my email or online banking so I can see oh it's $20 more or less now without clicking continue saves a step when trying to see do I want to change to this or that when price matters.
