Yes, I’m sure you were the last person to purchase EBCI on your flight that close to the scheduled departure.
In fact you probably barely made the cutoff to buy it since the assignments are made around T-36 but you seem to have squeezed in before the T-24 time.
Verify on your boarding pass that it says early bird or EBCI on it to make sure it was applied.

If the flights are still the same price or cheaper then have the original person redo the booking. Especially if it's cheaper now. The points will go back to them no matter who makes the change so they might as well do it.
Especially if one of the party is A-list then try to stick together.

I have 4 separate $50 LUV vouchers, that state that they expire on 12/25/23. Apparently you must TRAVEL by this time too or you forfeit these vouchers.
I understand there is a way to do a workaround to use these LUV vouchers, but then immediately cancel your booking, and they go back to you as travel vouchers/credits (different than LUV vouchers)?
Can someone explain to me:
1) how do I do this?
2) does the expiration date of the refunded voucher/credits get pushed out beyond the original 12/25/23 date of the LUV vouchers so they could be used in 2024?
I don't want to be forced to use these LUV vouchers and be forced to complete my travel by 12/25/23, but rather apply this aggregate $200 worth of credit to something AFTER 12/25/23. Any way to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Use the vouchers to book a flight between now and their expiration. When you cancel that flight the funds will be turned into a Travel Credit.
Travel Credit doesn't expire, however it will be associated with the name of the passenger, so the downside here is that a voucher can be used for anyone but once you have Travel Credit instead it can only be used for the person who was named on the ticket. (There's a different WGA+ workaround for that if needed.)
Travel Credits don't expire under the current policy so you should be good.
Just make sure whoever is going to use the travel credit next year (or whenever) is the person that you book the ticket in their name.
You might need to either add a few bucks if you find a suitable flight that's just a little bit over or else forgo a few bucks if you find one that's a little under.
The vouchers are not "transferrable" but if you have friends or family that are flying earlier you could also have them give you the $200 and use them on your behalf. The vouchers are still in your name, so I'd say they aren't "transferred" I'm not 100% on that but it might be an option, especially with a family member or trusted friend. I wouldn't do this to someone you don't know, too much chance of fraud.

The law requires Southwest to grant preboarding to those who make the request.
The "fact finding" is basically asking if you need some extra time and if you do, you will be assigned an "extra time" designation which occurs between A and B boarding.
Under the law, you are not required to respond to questions. You declare that you self identify as an individual with a disability and you either do or do not require assistance to board. That's all there is to it.
Any system has abuse. I've seen people at the wholesale club pitch a fit about a coupon that is expired and eventually get the coupon. I see people abusing the traffic signals every day. Yes, they abuse the preboard too. However, as I have stated before, the core issue is open seating. With assigned seating, there is no incentive to abuse the preboard system.
The passenger is supposed to answer the question about what accommodation they are requesting which would be the assistance/specific seat or extra time.
Since this is such an interesting topic for everyone, here is the info from DOT.

For a 15 year old, family boarding does not apply. The only thing that I could consider would be if the 15 year old had their own child and then they would likely board with the child as an "adult".
I have researched this and found that while the above is correct, the gate agents don't always follow the rules.
So two adults, the 15 year old, and the younger kid can family board.

The kids are on one confirmation number, and I am on another confirmation number (and my companion is on a 3rd confirmation number!). I have the kids reservation "linked" to my reservation. I can see its linked under my account. Now when I go to check in, i'll get an A position (ALP), but will my kids go in sequential order behind me? With them being on a different confirmation number I wasnt sure. I'm scared they will get like B50, and i'll be stuck waiting with them to board so they don't have to board by themselves. Anyone been thru this scenario? Its a weird one. Thanks...
We have done this many times, except that our kids are both younger. Family Boarding is definitely the answer with a few possible wrinkles.
With the five year old use family boarding at "A61" - the topic is subject of much debate, two adults may board with a child six years old and younger. It is vague about other children that are older than 6 but also not adults.
Most likely you all can board at Family Boarding.
As a possible method of stress relief, consider upgraded boarding for your older child if needed.
Otherwise the two adults and younger kid board at Family boarding and hold a spot for your older kid boarding in their regularly assigned position.

Since it ended 8-31, we are anticipating seeing the points in the next week or two based on the terms of the deal (points will be posted up to 8 weeks after promotion end).
I agree - the earlier the better, I was just saying that since the CP window is open until through 12/31 and you are earning points through other means as well, it won't matter exactly when they post as long as it is this year and at a time when you've earned the other remaining points needed.
i.e. if the promotional points are 35,000 it doesn't matter when you get them if you don't have the other 100,000 points. Obviously you don't want an open item, they should be posting it as soon as they have it processed everyone is expecting that to happen in the next few weeks since that was what was advertised.

How much oversized? Plausible-sized bags will come through many times.
1 lbs over though and you probably will be charged, that doesn't squeeze through at all.
I believe they can charge for both it if was obviously oversized, like some of the big international luggage.

The biggest value was in going supersonic, if there were enough people wanting to save a couple of hours that would pay extra for it, then it made sense.
Timing was probably an issue - right now many flights leave Chicago in the evening and arrive in Europe in the morning - there wouldn't be much benefit to going faster as you'd just be showing up in the wee early morning over there. I don't
The sonic boom was a major downside and environmental regulations limited ability to fly that fast in the USA or over Europe and limited the time this was useful.
Friction goes up with the square of speed so going Mach 2 would be ~3 times as fast as air travel today but 9x the friction/drag. It was said that a Concorde carrying 100 people used as much fuel as a 747 carrying 4x as many passengers.
Due to the drag the Concorde also burned fuel that quickly, I don't think it had larger fuel tank to compensate so it was limited to fly from Europe to North and South America, or the Middle East, it couldn't do long-haul flights like the 747 going from Europe to the USA West Coast.
I believe maintenance was a pain as well - in addition to the poor fuel economy due to friction going up as a square function of speed that speed/power also introduces stress and heat on all the components requiring more maintenance.
There weren't enough airlines interested to fly it and charge enough to cover the costs, so the fleet of them was retired.
There is a story about a round the world trip in a day where the sun never sets on the Concorde as it went from Europe, through Mexico, to Hawaii, Guam, Middle East and back to Europe in 32 hours.
The trip from Paris or London would land in NYC "before it took off" in time for business meetings the same day.

It was additive and not a substitution - BS gets wifi plus a drink now.

What is the best closing date, to ensure you get companion pass on January 4th or January 5th ? I'm thinking 1st day of month for both. Then I'd make final purchases around 12/5/23 ? Does that make sense? The final points would post around 1/2/24. I'd have companion pass a few days after 1/2/24. Is this doable?
Let's double-check your math on this one - you are saying that you'll earn all 135,000 points on one statement?
Any points earned during 2023 reset on 1/1/24 so having that billing statement after the first of January won't help you here if you are counting any points already posted in 2023.
We are usually getting the opposite question - how to get the points to post in 2023 so that they count this year because someone is getting close. So if your statement is 1/2 and the prior statement is 12/2 then you have to earn the 135,000 from purchases BEFORE 12/2. (Points from flights, hotels, etc. will still accumulate during December.)
Let us know if we aren't understanding your situation.
They do often take a few days to review qualifications so even if you do actually mean earning all the points by 1/4/24 it may not appear instantly - do you have a flight that first week of January or something?

Never when the person actually flew.
All that I can think of is that he walked through the scanner and nobody caught it not making a "ding!" noise, or he somehow did the same thing on a different flight to the same destination if he forgot which time his flight was if this was a busy route.
Any receipts from his time at the airport? When did the notice arrive about no-showing the flight? This would have been good to take care of while he was at the destination airport.
Also did he check a bag? That would help if he has the claim checks.
Remember the names of any of the FA on the flight?

I'm really nervous I won't be let onto my flight. I have a certified copy of my birth certificate with me and my driver's permit, would that be enough certification to get me on my plane?
Also how old are you? If you are 15 to 17 years old you can fly as what Southwest refers to as a "Young Traveler" ...actually 12-17 but you mentioned a driver's permit so you must be at least 15 - travelers in this age range are not required to have ID although you should consider bringing those items you mentioned and arrive a little early in case any interview is needed.
If so, then you can use this link for more info as well as guidance if someone will be dropping you off they may ask for a gate pass.

If you are 18 or older then you are normally supposed to have ID, then go through the process outlined by @SoCalFlyer97 - the items you mentioned may be useful in an interview, but won't be taken as equivalent to an ID, but they will help you establish your ID. I'm not a SWABIZ member myself but I understood there to be overlapping benefits to the company but also the individual would maintain their own benefits as well.
There are a million people in the OP's boat where they are flying for business and then get to use the benefits when a personal trip comes up. It may trace back to who pays - if you are using expense reports then it's yours, if the company pays directly then the benefits are theirs.
You @KAforumSW should still get a tier qualifying benefit - which is one reason that you should NOT try to split into separate accounts if possible - even if the employer keeps all the points you would still be wanting to use A-list on your personal flights. If you go separate then you'd have to qualify separately for A-list on both accounts.

Hi Explorer C,
I'm in the same boat you were in, and it seems that people online here and elsewhere just aren't understanding our needs.
I'm flying from PNS > DEN. I'm then driving to Colorado Springs from Denver (because SWA doesn't fly into Colorado Springs on the days I need it to). Then, I'm flying from COS > PNS.
These are two separate flights, one from PNS > DEN and one from COS > PNS. Two different dates completely, with no air travel between DEN & COS.
I cannot book these flights online with a single confirmation number. I have to call customer service to do this.
I do not have to involve customer service to do this on almost any other airline I've flown.
THAT is the problem we're trying to solve.
I would book these as one-way flights anyway - there are many advantages on Southwest to do so - in this case mainly flexibility about making changes to the remaining part of the itinerary while you will have already closed out the first part.
Southwest doesn't offer pricing that is lower based on round trip flights so really the only advantage to booking round trip is the confirmation number being the same and the advantages are many with being able to change and/or cancel your second leg online without needing to call.
So for the same reason you don't want to call customer service to set it up, you may be freed from calling customer service later if you don't combine them but end up needing to make a change that you have to call in for.

Southwest Airlines says flight vouchers no longer have an expiration date (consumeraffairs.com)
Around the date of that article was when the Travel Funks, now known as Travel Credits were made so that any unexpired travel credit at that time would not expire.
This site and several others seem to be using the language of "vouchers don't expire" when it should say travel credits don't expire.
A voucher that has an expiration date on it will expire.
But it's easy - just book a flight to use up the voucher before it expires, then cancel that flight, and the value will be re-issued as a travel credit which doesn't expire.
