That would be a good pretty brutal return. There are three non-stop Southwest flight from Las Vegas to Seattle on July 15, the earlier ones are more expensive, but would get you home with much less pain. Perhaps a good trade off for the $$$. 855am-1135am $172 1230pm-305pm $193 1100pm-130am $127 (of course prices can change, just saying what they are at this moment) And while I prefer to fly Southwest, there are other airlines out there that can get you home so you may want to shop around if you are looking for a particular departure/arrival time. Hopefully that helps you, post again if you have more questions.

The schedule is set so you won't see any additional flights added. You didn't specify what day you were planning to return to Seattle or how many seats you needed so I can't double check the schedule, but in the week following the 8th there seems to be 2 or 3 non-stop flights each day. If want to provide more details I'd be happy to look more. There's no perfect, predictable time to book the flight, you seem to like the price now so I would go ahead and book it. While it may not help you if you don't fly often, it is possible to get credit that can be used towards a future flight if the price goes down after you book it. You can also change flights if your schedule changes or if a currently unavailable flight becomes available. You would have to pay any price difference if there is one.

All the car rental promotions on the Southwest site say it may take up to 8 weeks for points to post and I imagine the individual rental agencies sites all say similar things regarding points posting to any frequent flyer account. As Southwest doesn't have have direct insight into your car rental like it does with a flight you take, points are going to take some time to post. What's confusing is that you say the 600 points weren't Companion Pass qualifying points. If you booked through the Southwest site the 600 points should count towards CP. Additional points most likely would not be CP qualifying. And since the 600 posted in 2018 they count towards the 110,000 points you would need to retain CP next year.

It means that you can utilize the TSA PreCheck line instead of the normal security line if you'd like. If you use the PreCheck line you don’t need to remove your shoes, laptops, liquids, belts and light jackets. It's typically faster than the regular security line and there's no undressing required. TSA randomly selects some passengers who don't already have a Known Traveler Number to get this service. It's their way of letting people try it out, hoping they will sign up for it.

Southwest runs the Community, but is pretty hands off for the most part. They want this to be a customer to customer discussion, but Southwest staff seem to read through posts and will occasionally comment when an "official" answer is needed.

Sadly, you have to search each airport individually, there's no option to search all LA, NYC, DC, or SF area airports all together as there is with other airlines such as United. It's a very helpful and time saving search option that maybe Southwest will allow someday.

RR points earned from shopping through the Southwest shopping portal usually post within a week of the item shipping or order completing, although some stores are slower and some rarely post. I haven't quite figured out if there's a pattern to it all yet. And yes, if the points post in time they will extend your expiration. Do you have a backup plan? Book a flight?

I'm thinking once TSA gives you the ok they're going to want you to continue through security, not go back to Southwest. And I doubt either gives you anything, but just accepts what is presented to them, with some additional questions perhaps. Just my additional two cents.

While those identifications don't necessarily meet the "government issued id" requirement, I suspect that with the combination of them you'll be fine checking baggage. Just allow extra time to explain your situation to Southwest as you've said you'll do with TSA.

My interpretation is: You can check two snowboard bags if they each have only one snowboard, and that would be your two free bags. Sidenote, I also interpret it to say that you could have one bag with a snowboard AND one bag with your boots and those two bags would only count as one of your free checked bags.

Nothing is required or should be needed on domestic flights, although carrying a letter signed by a parent or legal guardian won't hurt. There have been rare situations where other travelers express concerns when seeing a child with an adult that doesn't look to be a parent. If flying internationally, a notorized form signed by a parent/guardian should be carried.

Also, keep in mind that all purchases made from December 5, 2016 to December 31, 2016 counted towards your 2017 point total because those points would have posted when your statement closed in January 2017, giving you a full 12 months of credit card spend counting towards 2017 points earnings.

First, having a Companion Pass does not mean you are also A-List or A-List Preferred which is the status you need to utilize the Fly By line. Secondly, if an individual (either the pass holder or the companion) is not A-List or A-List Preferred then that individual should not be using the Fly By line. Now, if either of the two travelers is A-List and between the two travelers they have just two bags to check, the A-List traveler could utilize the Fly By line and check both bags under their name. Hope that clarifies for you

You should see the status noted in the My Account section of southwest.com. You'll have an option to add a companion if you didn't have CP last year. Did you earn 110,000 CP qualifying points or fly 100 flights between January 1st and December 31st 2017?

Completely agree that Fox rental car is among the worst of the rental car options. I'm not sure it's Southwest's job to filter what companies are are available to their customers, but I guess if enough people informed Southwest of the horrible service one of their partner was offering they might do something about it. I, like you, have had a bad experience with Fox and other companies and just use it as a personal learning experience to never rent from them again. A tip for anyone renting cars, whatever agency you rent from, enroll in their free membership that lets you utilize a priority line or skip the counter all together. Those rental counters never have enough staff. If you really want to have great service, check out Silvercar, it's like night and day compared to any other rental agency and often not that much more expensive.

While you can't get cash back for the ticket, you can cancel it and use the value of the ticket towards the purchase of a future flight. You can cancel the ticket online or on the phone, make sure you keep the confirmation number of the purchased ticket, you'll need that to apply the credit towards a future flight. You must complete future travel (not just book) within one year of the original purchase date. If you purchased EarlyBird Check-In that is not refundable.

I guess I can understand your perspective that if a company says they are going to do something they should do it. I however take a different attitude about these sorts of things. If I contact a company knowing I'm entitled to nothing and they say they'll give me something, I still don't believe I'm entitled to it and if it does show up that's great, if it doesn't, oh well I asked and no harm done. I certainly wouldn't declare it a customer service disaster.

Check out Southwest Vacations, it's run by a third party, not Southwest, but my understanding is that they work closely together. They should be able to help you with a vacation anywhere Southwest flies. http://www.southwestvacations.com One thing to keep in mind is that Southwest is not yet selling tickets for flights in October, you'll need to wait a couple months, probably March. I hope you have a great trip!

Completely agree that complaining bout having to keep track of refunds is ridiculous when no other airline offers refunds for cancelations and rebooking without fees like Southwest does. I'll gladly do a little work to track my funds in exchange for not paying fees. Personally, I use a Google Sheet to keep track of my travel funds. I can access the information from any device so it's always available to me when I am booking flights. Every time I cancel or rebook I put the confirmation number, expiration date, and value of the funds into the sheet.
