If you repeat the check-in process on southwest.com you will have an opportunity to print your boarding passes. Repeating the process does not affect your previously assigned boarding position if you did already check-in. You can also go to the airport and print them at a kiosk.

Sorry for the frustration, but the $100 fee to extend expiration of travel funds is standard, noted on numerous posts on this site, and I would be stunned if you got an agent to waive the fee.

Yes, the $50 fee is per child, one way. BTW, no one from Southwest is going to "sit with them", instead someone will occasionally check on them. Here's info from the unaccompanied minor terms and conditions: Once seated, a Flight Attendant will visually observe and/or communicate with an Unaccompanied Minor periodically as other duties allow, but Unaccompanied Minors are not monitored continuously throughout the flight.

Oops, just saw the other post about testing new boarding procedures. Also in that post was this: For a replacement Companion Pass Card, please contact Rapid Rewards Customer Service at 1-800-445-5764. Also, keep in mind the test is being conducted on flights in or out of Dallas and Denver.

The card serves no actual purpose, but you might be able to call and request a new one. Not sure why you would though.

Services like this are usually run by a SkyCab company, not by each airline, which means they often aren't labeled as clearly as an airline check-in counter. I'm assuming this is the info you saw on the airport site? Yes, airline check-in services are available for passengers flying on Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and United, on level “R1” of the A and B parking garages. The complimentary service allows passengers to check their luggage (airline baggage fees apply) and receive boarding passes before even entering the terminal, as long as they check-in at least 90 minutes and no more than 4 hours prior to original flight departure time. The “A” Garage location is located on the west end and the “B” Garage location is on the east end (i.e. the ends nearest the entrance ramps). I also found this interesting valet/bag check combination: http://www.news.maketraveleasier.com/bags-launches-valet-parking-curbside-check-orlando-international-airport/ In Denver there's a multi-airline bag check under the hotel near the train platform, but it requires bags to be checked much earlier than I typically arrive at the airport so I have to use the Southwest counter instead. I think the cutoff is 90-120 minutes prior? I see it's 90 minutes in Orlando, way too early for me.

No, Southwest does not have interline agreements so you would need to pick up your bags at baggage claim after your Southwest flight, then recheck your bags with the other airline. Being able to check bags through to your destination is one great benefit of flying an international carrier's domestic partner.

You could cancel your original points reservation, the points would be refunded to the account they came from, then rebook the flight, paying cash. Unfortunately, you would pay whatever the price is currently, not what it was when you made the original points purchase.

While the clocks may not match up as you'd hope they would, keep in mind that getting a B position at exactly 24 hours prior does not mean that 60 people beat you right at that moment. A1-15 are reserved for Business Select tickets and those positions will go unused if not sold to BS passengers. A-List, A-List Preferred, and EarlyBird passengers are next, automatically assigned a boarding position 36 hours prior to departure. Then that leaves people like you who do manual check in 24 hours prior. It's very possible the people who get an automated check-in take up all the A and the majority of the B positions. If you are close to earning A-List I'd suggest you continue so you can enjoy the benefits of automatic check-in. Loyalty and status matters with Southwest and all other airlines.

@Ebbhead Option C: buy Earlybird Checkin for the kids which should put them in the high A, low B boarding range and have everyone board at the latest position. My experience is that you'll be able to sit together while following the "rules".

If the reservation was cancelled because of a multiple flight conflict, people have reported being able to reinstate the cancelled reservation by calling and requesting the reservation be restored. Give Southwest a call and they should be able to provide explanation and hopefully reinstate the reservation. Report back what you find out.

TSA "randomly" assigns pre-check status to some people who have not gone through the formal application process. It appears that's what has happened in this situation. The 14 year old could go through the pre-check line, but other members of the family without pre-check on their boarding pass cannot. If an adult had pre-check, children age 12 and younger could go with the adult. In your situation I suggest you ignore the pre-check status and all go through the normal security line. Biggest issue I have seen for people that haven't traveled recently is attempting to bring liquids and gels in their carryon. You can read more about the rules here: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/liquids-rule

Never say never about any destination, but Southwest hasn't publicly expressed any interest in going to Europe. As the range of the 737 continues to improve I think all options are on the table, although more obvious choices include Canada and Hawaii. How many packages of peanuts would it take to sustain someone on a flight across the Atlantic?

A city pair not being included in a sale does not mean the city pair is no longer available as a non-stop flight. Southwest frequently excludes certain nonstop destinations from sales. However, if you look at the list of cities on sale from LAX on southwest.com Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta are all included.

Nope. Southwest has said many times that they have made the decision to forgo power ports or any other equipment at the individual seat as a means of reducing weight and keeping fares low. I don't expect them to change so purchase one of those USB battery packs, they're very small and can provide multiple charges to a phone or other devices.

I'm going to take a different viewpoint, maybe I'm missing the mark or perhaps this will help. I'm guessing you're asking because you want to ensure your insurance covers the value of your trip. Also guessing you booked the domestic legs of your trip on Southwest, using your RR points to "purchase". If that's true, then booking with points sorta removes the need for insurance for those flights because Southwest automatically refunds the points if you don't complete the flight. The only catch I can forsee is if you change your schedule you would have to rebook the flights and potentially pay last minute fares (aka more points than originally paid). If an estimate of the value of the points will work, last time I looked it was about 1.7 cents per point, but you can calculate it by dividing the cash price by the number of points required to purchase. Hope this helps, feel free to provide more details if you need further information.

The response to you got from Southwest is accurate. If you cancel a Wanna Get Away fare ticket that was paid for (not obtained with points), the credit can only be used by the original passenger. Having/using a Southwest credit card to make the purchase makes no difference. How would other airlines handle this? First they would charge you a fee to reschedule the flight, then most likely another fee to change the name. In the end you pay more in fees than you paid for the ticket. Perhaps informing the ex-friend about the credit (which can be used within a year of the original purchase) will help patch things up between the two? Or don't tell them and the credit will be wasted.
