Unless you purchased Business Select or Anytime fares the tickets and associated funds are tied to the original passenger and cannot be transferred. If you purchased either of those fares then you can cancel the ticket, get a refund, and rebook with the new passengers.

Whether you call or do it yourself, you'll end up canceling the points reservation and rebooking as a companion. Fees won't "transfer" over, but will be refunded (I believe as travel funds) and then you'll pay them again. And yes, points are refunded to the account they came from.

There's no alert, but you can find updates here: https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/index.html They usually post the next schedule extension date shortly after an extension occurs. Currently the site says "We are currently accepting air reservations through June 5, 2018. On November 2, 2017 we will open our schedule for sale through August 12, 2018. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience with the crew on your flight. While you probably won't get more than a similar apology from Southwest I do think they listen to their customers and use the feedback in training and other discussions with employees. You can write a later and mail it, or for something less formal send a DM on Twitter to @SouthwestAir. Be sure to include details such as the flight number and departure/destination cities.

TSA says the following is acceptable: Driver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) Your ID might be temporary, but as long as it's not expired it should be ok. Additionally, you don't actually need an ID to fly, you'll just be asked a few additional questions and might have additional screening. Just give yourself extra time to get through security. Have a good trip!

"Read my reply - the passengers next to me told me they moved for more legroom. All the exit seats were taken up" This doesn't rule out them having purchased BS tickets if that's what you are hoping to prove. You're correct, we don't like your idea. There's a sense of entitlement to it that thankfully Southwest doesn't embrace. Want to ensure there's no through passengers? Book the first flight of the morning when the plane is starting the day at your departure point.

"Ok people who are staying on the plane, DON'T MOVE, or else!" Because someone assumes they can get whatever seat they want and feels they are more important than all of you? That's funny. And like it was said, how do you know the through passengers don't also have BS tickets?

Sounds like you're talking about spending $2000 on the Southwest credit card? If so, points post shortly after your statement closes, that's the date that matters. If you spend the $2000 in a statement that closes after Dec 31 and it's within the designated bonus earning time range (90 days from opening?), then the points should apply towards earning CP in 2018. Points that post in 2017 will not count.

Are you trying to get points for a flight you flew but didn't get credit for? What do you need help with? You can request past flight points for up to 12 months after your flight. To claim points for a past flight, simply log into your account, select My Account and choose the Manage tab within My Rapid Rewards. Choose Request past points in the grey bar and enter your record locator (confirmation number) from your reservation. After verification of your flight information (approximately 3-5 days), points will be deposited into your account.

The only time I can remember having a discount code to use was after the big IT meltdown in July 2016 so it's not a common practice and codes aren't readily available. Thanks for volunteering to serve, but looks like you'll be paying the same fares as everyone else.

Hey @brettnussb, how did this situation work out for you?

First off, showing up with an expired ID won't do you any good so go ahead and get your license renewed. Changing names on a ticket seems to be a process that takes some time and is only allowed in certain situations. You could try reaching out to @SouthwestAir on Twitter and asking if it's possible. My personal thinking is that TSA will not care/notice or they will allow you through with some additional questioning. As mentioned in another post, TSA has a process for people that completely forget their ID and there's no reason you couldn't just follow that process which is why I think a minor mismatch of your name isn't going to matter. Here's the post I am referring to: https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Rapid-Rewards/Companion-Pass-amp-Existing-booked-Ticket-with-Name-Change/m-p/60413/highlight/true#M2092 Lastly, do you perhaps have a passport with a name that matches your ticket? There are a couple other options for identification too, https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification Good luck, and please reply back and let us all know how it worked out for you.

Seems like it should fit inside a carryon bag. You might want to remove it from your bag before sending the bag throughout the xray machine, just like you do with a laptop. I've seen people carry on desktop computers without problems and a Tivo wouldn't be much different.

Only the person(s) flying can earn RR points. You can purchase the flight for someone else, just put their information in the "Who's Flying" section of the checkout screen. If you include their RR number they will get RR points (assuming you are not booking the flight with points).

I do not have any personal experience with it so you may be correct. I was just going off what I've seen reported elsewhere. Either way, a change will at least retain EBCI vs canceling and rebooking.

So instead of replying to your older post (https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Boarding/TSA-Pre-Check/m-p/60390/highlight/true#M881) where we asked for more information, you're just going to complain more?

If you use the change option to rebook the flights (don't cancel and rebook) you will be get the points refund and retain EBCI, but your EBCI position will be as if you just made the reservation so it may not be quite as good a boarding position number as the one associated with your original reservation. You'll have to decide if the points refund is worth the adjusted boarding position.

Considering it takes a good couple minutes to load email, I think it's safe to say Slingbox is a no. I replied to the other post that the local broadcast channel feed is NYC so you're probably going to get the game that's being shown in NYC, and that's most likely also the national game as @DancingDavidE has suggested.

From a document that's linked on a Southwest.com page about traveling to Cuba. Hope it helps you. https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Documents/cuba_faqs_new.pdf What constitutes “support for the Cuban people” for generally authorized travel and other transactions? OFAC has issued a general license that incorporates prior specific licensing policy and authorizes, subject to conditions, travel-related transactions and other transactions that are intended to provide support for the Cuban people, which include activities of recognized human rights organizations; independent organizations designed to promote a rapid, peaceful transition to democracy; and individuals and non-governmental organizations that promote independent activity intended to strengthen civil society in Cuba. The traveler’s schedule of activities must not include free time or recreation in excess of that consistent with a full-time schedule in Cuba. For a complete description of what this general license authorizes and the restrictions that apply, see 31 CFR § 515.574.

Let's see if I understand what you're asking... You booked a flight, now that same flight is listed at a lower price. You tried rebooking to get the lower price, but it's not working and only let's you rebook at the higher price? Yes, that's unfortunately a frequent problem, appears to be happening more with Southwest's new reservation system.
