If you're checked in and have a boarding position there's no need to worry. You can quickly get a boarding pass from a self serve kiosk or at the check-in counter when you get to the airport.

I would say you are going to have to sit in the same row but accross the isle from each other. "Why do airlines prohibit two infants from sitting in the same row (for example Seat A,B and C) at one side of the aisle? Why is it that one of the parent has to move to another row or to the other side of the row?" "This is prohibited for safety reasons. Each row has one extra oxygen mask (there are exceptions, some rows have no extra masks and they will be marked somehow). If more than one infant is seated in a parent's lap and the oxygen masks were to be used one of the row occupants will have no oxygen mask to use." "Usually the reservation system/agents will avoid such a situation but it could happen that a family with two infants will be given boarding passes in one row, the cabin crew then will move one of the parents along with one of the infants to the other side of the row or to another row."

Hi MiddleSeat, I did submit this to customer service via email. I don’t use Twitter, so no tweet here. As for constructive criticism, you make a good point. I should have said, “Under no circumstance should you tell a customer to sit down and shut up. Definitely a bad move when you have delayed their flight because of a mysterious maintenance problem. Also, when you are past the updated time that you said the flight would arrive and it hasn’t, you should expect some customer dissatisfaction. Telling them shut up is problem the worst move in this situation.” How was that? Did it hit the mark?

If you have a Rapid Rewards account log into it and it will show your confirmed reservations. You can also check your spam or junk mail folders in your email account for the confirmation email. If you don't find anything in either of those places you'll want to call Southwest to confirm your reservation.

Leaving soon as well. Gone is the commitment to good service and on time arrivals. They have become just another airline. Sad to see a great airline become apathetic and lazy.

No, you only earn points when you pay for the flight. In technical jargon, only revenue flights earn Rapid Rewards points.

Regarding the subject line, in my own account I recently had checked that the base points were labeled as TQP and when I looked at "all points" the numbers were higher, so my understanding is that the 25% and 100% bonus for A-list and A-list preferred respectively won't count towards TQP the next year.

Keep in mind that it will not automatically populate to existing reservations after adding it to your account. You'll need to go back and add it to each existing reservation.

Thank you. I did see this reply. I thought there might be a simple screen for trips noting price or points paid. it would seem simple enough to do. It seems that the airline is wishing to make it difficult for customers to know what they paid for their flights.

I enjoy the traveling, but I know what you mean, I'm tired! Business travel will slow down the rest of the year for me, but now we'll go into the opposite mode of using points to fly visiting family.

Also the points accrue during a calendar year, so if you are close right now you may want to try and earn it this year even if you may not use it until next year. Otherwise the earned point basis will reset Jan 1 and you'll be trying to earn it again.

Your iPad can be carried on without any problems. Drones on the other hand are more complicated because of the batteries. I found this site that has some more information from someone with experience traveling with drones. https://improvephotography.com/44854/drone-carry-on-laws-batteries-packing-tsa/ You can also read more about traveling with batteries on the TSA's site https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring

Correct. We can use/book SWA too. The issue is with th reservation system not talking to the govvies side and the loss of revenue when we have to take a higher cost trip. I love to save money, fees etc and get the best bang for the taxpayer but because SWA won’t play nice in the sandbox, I’m forced to use other carriers at much more of the cost. The millions SWA is missing out on is astounding. Oh well not much I can do. SWA doesn’t even have a way for me to contact them to discuss. The last time I had to search for hours to find a corporate number and then got a employee who sure as heck wasn’t going to own anything more than the excuse of why ‘not’ something could happen rather than, I got this, I’ll keep in informed. I’m sure he is wiping the sweat off his brow because he has sooooo many other, more important tasks to do. Gaining millions for the shareholders of SWA and saving millions for the taxpayers must not be a high priority.

Companion Pass tickets can be added anytime after you earn CP as long as tickets on the flight are available, use of CP is not tied to when you book your own ticket, and it isn't added automatically for each purchase you make. If you aren't 100% sure about making CP in time for the flight, you can book the companion on points now and then cancel the points booking after you earn companion pass, then book the companion ticket.

Basically for 15k points you need: WGA fares at 6x points you'll need to spend $2,500 - this is probably exorbitant if these aren't flights you would otherwise be taking. BS fares at 12x points you'll need to spend $1,250 - this is much better, especially if you have the chance to spend your own money to upgrade to BS fare on flights you otherwise would already be taking. This might be three legs for instance, as opposed to WGA fares you'd be taking 10 or more legs to spend $2,500. As @TheMiddleSeat has pointed out on several similar threads - make sure you plan to use companion pass enough to recover the extra money that you spend to achieve it. You can also use Rapid Rewards shopping which could close the gap, but might be difficult to get 15,000 points solely through that method. https://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/how-to-earn

Here's information from TSA about what is required: https://www.tsa.gov/blog/2009/05/15/whats-name Specifically, this part seems to answer your question: But rest assured, the system will be pretty flexible. For the near future, small differences between ID and reservation information, such as the use of a middle initial instead of a full middle name or no middle name/initial at all, should not cause a problem for the passenger. However, if you have a known traveler number for TSA-PreCheck, the name on your reservation must be an exact match of the name associated with your KTN, including a middle name.

A little more info about the drinks and snacks.... You'll be offered a free non-alcoholic drink, coke products, juices, coffee, etc and a flight that length will get peanuts and/or pretzels. It's a small snack so don't skip any meals thinking it'll fill you up. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased for $5. Depending on how quick and eager your crew is and if weather/turbulence cooperates, you may get a drink refill if you ask. Have a good trip!

Just spoke to Christian at Rapid Rewards and although they can send replacement Companion Pass cards it will probably arrive after the test period is over. He said that the gate agent can tell that the companion is flying as such and should authorize boarding at same time without the card. I'm going to also take a pic of my profile that shows my companion choice just in case. I hope they expand this- -boarding seperate from Companion and saving seats has been a hassle.
