The question is in regards to gate checking the wagon. Southwest's website states that the allowance is one item per child without charge in addition to the regular free baggage allowance. It's possible however that the gate agent won't care that you are transporting gear and not a child. Perhaps someone with experience gate checking a wagon sans child could chime in? You may also want to check with Southwest directly, although contact is somewhat problematic these days. Contact Customer Relations Good luck.

If they can fill planes to and from a given city they will beat path to get gate space at the local airport. If they can't project a reasonable profit it just isn't going to happen🙁. I remember when SWA flew to Key West, but they scrapped that destination 5 or 6 years ago, just couldn't fill the planes

Check the terms and conditions via the SW offer at Chase.com. (and screen shot or print the small print for your records if you find a loop hole to make it work.)

It's sad to hear your experience. I too have had some service challenges flying SWA in the last several months. They have all been reasonably resolved. It seems clear you've given up on SWA, "blowing up the board" on a customer to customer forum is pointless and waste of your energy. Best of luck to you in the future and I wish you safe travels

Delayed hours at Pittsburgh because their communications went down. Was about to just rent a car because I have an actual schedule to keep. 0/10 would not recommend SW. They should've auto-issued a refund for the last flight I took. But they actually felt secure taking my money. I feel insecure spending it with them ever since It is as I suspected. You flew when SWA had all the issues a month ago and were caught in the middle of it. Many were. It sucks. Southwest has been trying to make it right, even with giving refunds (which, FWIW, you are entitled to anyway when Southwest cancels your flight - but you are not entitled to a refund if they reroute you and you actually take the flights you are assigned). --Jessica

Are you employed by Southwest Airlines? I am wondering the same thing. They don't have the employee logo next to their username just new arrival. Post deleted. Two options IMO 1) Someone posing as a SW employee who realized he/she had been busted. 2) A Southwest employee who did not realize that he/she had to self identify.

Sorry your flight was cancelled. Weather is rough around the country from storms here in Texas to the topical mess in the north east from Elsa. This causes planes and crews to be grounded and that results in cancellations. Trust me airlines don't want to cancel flights but sometimes they don't have a choice. Once travel is complete you can Contact Customer Relations and they can review your flight and look in to possible compensation. -Blake

Before my last flight with Southwest I would have agreed with you about the flight attendants helping you to get some seats together for you and kids but not now. We had a flight attendant who didn’t care one bit about us and was going to allow my grandson to cry the whole flight because he was separated from my wife and I. I too purchased the early bird check in and was in group A for all of us however southwest changed our flights because our original flight was delayed and we would have missed our connecting flight. When they changed our flight we lost our early bird status and were the last to board creating only single seats to choose from. My wife asked about the possibility of asking someone to switch so my grandson could sit with one of us but he joked about it and did nothing. My grandson ended up getting upset and crying and luckily a kind gentleman switched to allow my wife to sit with my grandson. So if I were you I would count on help from the flight attendants. Check in as soon as possible for your flights so you get the earliest possible boarding group. Also don’t change your flights because you will lose your early bird status.

Thank you. They must have the wrong RR# then. I noticed on one of the Chase pages that it said "transferred x,xxx points this month" and nothing has been transferred. I have 13k in my Southwest account and 53k on the Chase card. So it sounds like something isn't transferring correctly. Thanks!

So sorry to hear this as well. My wife learned this lesson the hard way a few years ago in Beleze, Items were stolen from her luggage and there was nothing SW could do about thieves working in a foreign country's airport customs area. A good rule of thumb, If it's valuable keep it on your person or leave it at home.

Shoes and shirts are considered to be normal social etiquette; face masks, on the other hand, are medical devices. That's why Southwest has no authority to demand that we customers smother ourselves with those medical devices as no one at Southwest is licensed to practice medicine. Not to mention, even practicing physicians cannot DEMAND that their clients wear face masks; they can at best prescribe them. If you disagree with the fact that a face mask is a medical device, then take it up with the FDA.

I would second the other replies in general, BUT I would have a concerns about connecting flights to a small international destination, (not so much a SW issue) If your Logan to BWI flight is delayed, the flight to Aruba is going to leave without you. Given the more limited flight schedules currently in place this could mean no more flights to Aruba that day. So you lose a day in Aruba and you're angry at SW for something that may or may not have been in their control. Your mileage may vary but I would want more layover time to make sure I am at the gate in BWI, or simply fly direct out of Logan ( I believe Jet Blue does?)
