That info is always available under Travel Tools on the website: We are currently accepting air reservations through January 6, 2019. On June 28, 2018 we will open our schedule for sale through March 6, 2019. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently. Hope this helps!

I've consolidated as @bgubs14 suggested after booking several/many flights at the same time then rebooking them all later on after a price drop. I'm sometimes left with 10 or so travel funds for $5-$10. As the flights were all originally purchased on the or near the same date, any change to the expiration date is minimal and it's much easier to use the single consolidated travel fund than 10 $5 funds. I agree, it's a good "hack", just be careful of the expiration date change as was mentioned earlier. Now if only I could consolidate drink coupons and get a bigger prize, that would be a great hack. --TheMiddleSeat

@Ronvogel1 will you iPad not download to iOS 10 or 11? I have an iPad mini 2 which is a little old since there is an iPad mini 4 now but I can still get iOS 11. If you can't get IOS 10 I would use the full website on the iPad which I do from time to time if I am using travel funds and it works just fine Blake

It took me a bit to get used to the new website but it allows for faster toggle between city pairs, as well as looking at price differences without having to go back. It also reordered some of the displays so the prices are higher left--right. Some getting used to but I think its more efficient

Can’t wait for flight attendant positions come available. Super pumped to become a flight attendant as a life long dream! Southwest is by far my favorite airline. Any word on when they will be doing more hiring??

As I noted earlier, it's almost always a best practice on Southwest to purchase one-way flights.

Hello have you tried to reach out to customer relations to discuss your concern? If not I would recommend you reach out to them at 855-234-4654 or you can message southwest on twitter but unfortunately no one will be able to reach out from here as it is a peer to peer (customer to customer) forum so for your own privacy and protection could you please edit your post to remove your phone number if you have a question feel free to post it here and we can try to help as long as we don't need to research a reservation since customers like myself can't do that but we can help with general southwest questions. hope this helps Blake

@Anreese Glad to hear Timothy went the extra mile to make you happy by giving you some extra pretzels on your most recent flight. I would recommend sending southwest a message on Twitter or sending a message on the southwest website so southwest can pass on your kudos to the great Flight Attendant Timothy and his supervisors. thanks for sharing Blake

Hello Yes you can use travel funds (funds from a previous flight which you canceled or changed and had a credit from a difference in fare) you can't use a LUV voucher though as those don't cover taxes which the points tickets are security taxes ($5.60 each way for domestic travel) Hope this helps Blake

In the summer there are a lot of people going through Orlando so the A Lister count on a flight can go up quite a bit with business travelers still coming and going and EB check in purchases go up from the extra vacationers especially on early flights from what I have seen because not a lot of people want to be up at 5-6am just to check in while on vacation if they don't have any other reason to be up early. Also families usually try to go to/from Disney for cheap so a lot of people end up on the early flights as the evening ones sell out or go higher in cost and the early ones are much cheaper from my experience so one or more people from a family will buy EB and they board after pre boarders, Business select, and A Lister's so a B is not uncommon for checking in right at the 24 hour mark during peak travel season Hope this helps Blake

I've never understood why more people do not take advantage of this Southwest perk. I'm a big dude... 6 foot 360 pounds... and mildly claustrophobic from being stuffed into an MRI machine one too many times. I only fly Southwest specifically because of their generous policy of refunding the cost of a 2nd seat. I get to preboard and have room to breath... It's like poor man's first class. I buy my 2 seats in advance every trip and one of the idiots at the counter always tells me that I did it wrong because I can just ask for one when I arrive at the airport. I actually have printed cards with the relevant links to THEIR website that I hand them now because I'm tired of explaining that by purchasing two seats, I allow them to accurately plan for the occupancy of their planes so that I don't inconvenience my fellow travelers by getting someone bumped from a flight. Sigh...

Have you considered leaving from Philadelphia instead? From PHL, Southwest has at least four Saturday non-stops to Orlando in September. It may be worth the longer trip to the airport if it saves you the hassle of connecting.

That's very odd. For future reference: If you need to make a change within 24 hours of booking, it's always best to cancel and then rebook. That would have given you the option for a refund of the difference to your credit card, instead of travel funds (that expire and are locked into the name(s) of the original passengers.) Your original confirmation email and rebooking email should both show an expiration date. Do they both say the 31st? When did you receive the first email? If you're certain you booked on the 4th and not the 31st, you should reach out to Customer Relations and ask for clarification. My recommendation for the quickest reply is via Twitter direct message.

Thanks all for your feedback. It doesn’t sound like they make any exceptions to non refundable tickets so I just canceled the tickets & they’ll sit in a travel fund for a year. Maybe take a shorter trip next year? Thanks! 😊

The suffix field is a convenience, entering it on the regular line will still match for TSA purposes. Note: not if you have PreCheck and need to match exactly, that's different

I would try using one of Southwest's partners like rapid rewards dining or shopping as you will earn points for buying things you planned to buy anyways so it's like a bonus to you and maybe you can earn enough points to buy another one way or RT ticket Blake

@mardan69 For your protection please edit your post to remove your confirmation number as others have said your new travel must be booked and flown by the expiration date which is one year from the original booking date of the canceled ticket. Thanks Blake

No, the confirmation number should not be necessary to get an escort pass. If the person requesting the pass has the passenger name and knows what flight the passenger is on that should be enough. Are you handling check-in for the return flight (if there is one)? In theory, someone could cancel the flight if they have the information needed to check-in (confirmation number or RR account login information). Or, you could purchase EarlyBird Check-In so you don't have to worry about it. --TheMiddleSeat

Hello sorry to hear that your item was left behind and is now missing. If you filled a lost item report you should have a incident report and on that paper/in that email should be a number you can call (at least on lost bags there is a number not sure if it's the same for lost items) if not to reach southwest I could call customer relations at 855-234-4654 and they should be able to help you or at least help get you in the right direction hold to,es may be long though so I would call when you have an hour or 2 of free time just in case it takes long. hope this info helps you get your item back! They have sent me "kicktail" coupons in the past where the staff can enter a drawing for prizes of some kind...tell them you want to send some "virtual kicktail" to that FA. Reminder if on Twitter or Facebook, never post your confirmation number in public - wait until Southwest (@SouthwestAir on twitter) intiatites a direct message before you send that info.

@sandrajohnson wrote: purchased early bird, how do I check in and when and where can the bording pass be printed? You will be automatically checked-in at T-36 hours. However, you still have to wait until 24 hours or less prior to the flight to "retrieve" your boarding pass. You can do it anytime between 24 hours and up until you arrive at the airport and need it for security, prior to the scheduled departure. Clarification: you can download on your PC and print at home, download to phone, have it texted to you in a link, or print at the airport when you arrive.

We would hope that Southwest would be understanding of your schedule in case of irregular operations since you are flying them throughout. (No warranty if mixing airlines on a trip.) Otherwise agreed - one-way tickets make a lot of sense in other ways, the downside seems to be during a chain of delays you may lose some protections - but which they would in theory still honor. Side-note: no hidden city ticketing on Southwest...I haven't noticed any scenarios where doing that would make sense, compared to the other major airlines where they do have more variable pricing. Also you'd forfeit your points!

sorry its taking multiple phone calls and several weeks to get the voucher. have you tried to message southwest on twitter or Facebook? I would try that as it may be faster and less annoying than waiting on hold for an hour or longer. i know with your situation since its an exception it will take longer compared to normal compensation and they are issuing this as a gesture of goodwill while other airlines tell you too bad. the 21 days is usually business days so Monday-Friday not including holidays so if it has been longer maybe reach out on twitter or Facebook and if that doesn't work reach out to customer relations again be sure to confirm they have your email address correct as that will make a difference. Hope this helps and that your voucher arrives soon Blake
