@5280Av8r Agree, and too small a market. PHX is just 2 hours away on Interstate the entire way. This is apples to oranges, but it's like asking for SWA to start going to Santa Fe, NM. In 15 min it could save me the 1-hour drive from Albuquerque.

Due to how Southwest operates as more of point to point carrier, I think Columbus has a lot of Saturday/Sunday only flights for leisure travel and daily to their main airports of Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Nashville, St. Louis

About 4 years ago I set up an account for my grandson just for that one trip he flew with us. He has since taken 5 more trips with us, albeit, mostly on points, but of the 2 he didn't, he now has a one-way to somewhere for free. I've even (since I know the acct # and password) bought points for my other grandchildren from time to time to keep boosting points, (since points never expire) and they are all adding up. So at some point in the near future all 3 of the grandkids with the buying of points, and flights bought outright, should all have a round trip (wanna get away fare) to most places. Buying the points gets them points for flights and I get points from the credit card purchase as well. It's really a no-lose situation, IMO

@TheMiddleSeatThis BNA "Expert" is late to the party, but @bec102896 pretty much covered it. I too dislike layovers that short -- they stress me out, BUT I will say there is nothing better than the first flight coming in early enough where you have time to make it to your second gate and immediately line up for boarding. It is efficient, but there are potential variables. The good news is that taxi time at BNA is really low. The runway that is furthest from the terminal is currently closed, so that helps. Regardless, as @bec102896 said, the airport is not that large, and this connection time is totally doable. We would love to hear your experience, @aijones0515!

My Kindle Fire Tablet ~use~ to work on the Southwest Wifi to view movies but about 2 years ago it stopped working. The movie starts, but about half way into the credits is says there is a problem and locks up. Something changed in the SWA movie app I think. What can I do to watch movies on my Kindle?

@161069484 , Again I'm so sorry for the frustration. I replied to a different post of yours recommending you reach out to Customer Relations since we don't have access to your account or reservations here on the Community. Do you know if that's who you spoke to? They handle escalated concerns and are different from our 800 number.

They can only tell you what they "will" do. How would you feel if SW told you that it had plans to resume service in July. Then based on that you made informed decisions and plans. Then n the 15th of May it told you "we've had a change of plans and it won't happen. I bet you'd be mad. As I said earlier No airline can tell you what it "might" do. @Everyone..I've been flying for many years and have found there is no temperature that will please everyone. I've even found as I've aged that planes just seem to be colder? But even before that, it's always been protocol for me to just carry on with me a light jacket, that has pretty much solved the issue. And at times, saved me at my destination where I was unprepared for the drop in temperature while I was there.

You're kinda pointing out the obvious. While at first blush, it would make sense for them to have us "invest" in points. After all, they can (and did) turn around and devalue them before you can use them. And yes, they could use the money now without paying you interest, kinda like forever stamps at the post office. But looking at the other way, why would they give you a discount that you could turn around and spend today? Then everyone would do it, and they would lose money. The closest you can get to this is the occasional SW gift card on sale below face value. I've gotten a few of these.

@Bhs3034 wrote: I know what the website states about needing a boarding verification document. I just got off the phone with a customer service person and she stated a copy of the shot records for my 1.5 yr old would be more than sufficient and they only really request verification if they feel the child is over the 2 year old age limit. I will be flying out of columbus,oh. Is she correct in that the shot records would work? We have used medical records many times although a birth certificate is always welcomed as a first option. This is also only if you are flying as a lap child, if you chose to buy a ticket for the infant then they are a regular customer and no ID is required.

@mejohnso, BNA is my home airport, and it has been going through quite the overhaul over the past few years. I'll say this: the food options used to be pretty lackluster, and the airport secured a new vendor to work with local Nashville eateries to expand the airport dining selections. That remains a work in progress, so there are some new places today, but in the future, it will be pretty awesome! Also that means that most places have been closed either due to the pandemic or due to construction (BN, Auntie Anne's, pizza, etc. -- all closed). Glad you got to experience the new terminal D as well -- it is beautiful! But if you want to eat, you do have to venture to other parts of the airport, at least for now. You can get coffee and beef there, but that is about it. Today, your best bets are 400 Degrees, serving Nashville hot chicken, and Barista Parlor, serving coffee and sandwiches and pastries. 8th and Roast is good for coffee, and there are a few brewery options as well if you want a beer. Beyond that, we wait for what is to be a much more diverse selection in the future. Please come back and visit! Thanks for the tags, @TheMiddleSeat @ksbrg @bec102896!

@SWFlyer007 wrote: @JenT Am I missing something. Once you made the conversion to points, didn't you book your flight then? If so, you didn't lose anything. No, she planned to rebook before 9/22. So she's out 6%, plus or minus whatever difference in fares. That's another gripe I have with SWA... (one of the few, but this point thing is one more). You can't book more than several months out, making annual trip planning difficult. Even though they extended the expiration, you still have to sit on the funds until the flight itinerary is released, and then you're that much closer to them expiring. I fly a lot, so I have to be careful which flights are near expiration if I cancel them. So I took the points deal to "reset" all the expiring funds. They just thanked my patronage by taking a 6% tip from me.

According to SW's site: "Two adults traveling with a child six years old or younger may board during Family Boarding, which occurs after the “A” group has boarded and before the “B” group begins boarding. If the child and the adult are both holding an “A” boarding pass, they should board in their assigned boarding position." The challenge lies in the fact that families often do not fit this mold. Ex: What happens if you have a three year old, an 8 year old, and two parents? Most gate agents are not going to separate the family to board separately; they will allow them to board together during family boarding. I do get where you are coming from. If you have a family of seven, for example, where most of the kids are beyond the family boarding age, it can be frustrating. Ultimately, it is up to the gate agent who is boarding the plane. If you would like to share your concerns directly with SW, you can use one of the Contact Us methods below.

The reason relates to the two tickets being procured separately - what you describe would work if you bought two tickets at the same time (cash, points, funds, voucher, etc). Since companion ticket is added separately it gets a separate confirmation number. I believe Southwest is working on this issue for check-in at the same time or to award sequential boarding positions. As far as seeing the pass I suggest keep your own in the app and login your companion on mobile web to show the boarding pass and also recommend adding it to the wallet before you leave for the airport in case of connectivity issues.

Some hotels let you earn up to 10,000 points for a stay , and some rental car companies let you up to 2400 points for a one week rental. Although as expensive as rent cars are, I am not sure that is a good way to bag RR points. Edit add: the hotels that give you 10,000 points are normally pricey, but since 10,000 points are worth roughly $160, that offsets some of the cost.
