@johnsonjia
These are the current guidelines:
SWA's website indicates:
Any of the items listed below* may be checked in substitution of one piece of the free checked baggage allowance for you at no charge on a one-item-for-one-bag basis. If the item of sporting equipment exceeds 50 pounds in weight, excess weight charges will apply. If the item of sporting equipment exceeds 62 inches in size (outside length plus height plus width), excess size charges will not apply.
*Snow ski equipment.
Snow ski equipment, including skis or snowboards, ski boots, and ski poles are allowed, including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one set of poles, and one pair of ski/snowboard boots packed in a container(s) acceptable to Carrier. When substituting ski equipment for a free bag, we allow up to two bags (containing one set of snow skis, ski poles, and ski boots) to count as one item, even if they are packed and tagged separately. Snow ski equipment packed in a plastic bag will be transported only with a limited release of liability.

@jquebby wrote: I purchased my ticket January 12, 2020 for travel January 14th. I also purchased EBCI. I was able to use it for my outbound flight but not for my inbound flight because I ended up changing my travel to leave one day earlier. Because the EBCI is non-refundable, Southwest is unwilling to give me a refund. I have already taken to Twitter to express my displeasure about this and will never again waste my money for this product. I will simply wait ask at the boarding gate when I arrive if there are any more A zone slots available. I would rather pay $50 for that than waste the $25 for EB and get nothing. The closer to 36 hours pre flight time you get, the worse the value of your EBCI. Why - because EBCI positions are allocated based on when they are purchased. If bought within 24 hours of flight time it is worthless. 'As far as EBCI refundability goes, you yourself said "Because the EBCI is non-refundable, Southwest is unwilling to give me a refund." so you seem to understand that it is nonrefundable. You do know what nonrefundable means -- don't you? You may not like it, but that is the rule.

@dlohr you can get in touch with Southwest to request a refund -- click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the forum pages for options, Twitter is probably the fastest way to get a response.

Hey there - great idea! I'll pass this along to our Employee Experience team as we have lots of the underpinnings to make this happen. Just need to prioritize it on the backlog. I've also added this to our app backlog as well.
Thanks for sharing!

I booked a flight from Houston to Mexico City on January 2019 for my May 2019 trip. Yesterday, I found out "myself" that Southwest cancelled this route and last flight will be end of March 2019. When I called Southwest they said it has been decided a month ago (February 2019) that this route will be cancelled and they tried to blame the Southwest Vacations claiming "we are two different companies" when I purchased both hotel and flight from their website. Further, I have received no calls or emails about this cancellation. I found out when my friend was considering joining my trip and found out there were no flights for May 2019! Now if I have to book the flight and hotel for same dates I have to pay additional $400.00. After endless waiting on the phone, customer relations representative lady on the phone was very rude. She basically told me it was my loss and Southwest will not do anything about it except refunding my money. When I brought up now I have to pay additional $400 for the same trip, she hung the phone on me. Thanks a lot Southwest for screwing your customer in the best possible manner.

@canoegirl wrote: Thank you Ashley, That definitely helps! Can you tell I'm anxious to get A-list? I have definitely seen the little needle moving, and the # of points indicated, but trying to plan ahead to be sure I meet the points, I have been unsure whether, for example, the double points promotion I've gotten on the last couple of flights were all added to that number, or just the regular points to the A-list and the doubled amount toward rewards flights. Did you make it? The other rule of thumb you could (have) used is whatever you spend on WGA fares is 6x points. So if you will be qualifying on points and you need 6,000 more points points, you would be spending $1,000 on flights the rest of the year - then you can gauge for your regular route what the typical cost is and how many more flights that would be. If any of your flights are last minute and the costs are high, go for the Business Select if it is a small incremental upcharge to get the 12x points - what might have been four flights to spend $1,000 would now be only $500 on one/two flights with Business Select. If you aren't/didn't/won't qualify on points basis but need a couple of flights, you could make a day-trip to a nearby location. For instance MDW-MSP is an easy trip, the light rail will let you take a trip downtown or MOA, and head back the same day to get two legs in if you were that close based on number of flights.

@rtbarron wrote: Getting rid of peanuts? This is heresy!!! If you allow this, what's next?!? Getting rid of the "club" seating area at the front and middle of the cabin? Repainting the beautiful ochre, red and orange fuselage? Not using numbered plastic boarding cards? I feel like I'm losing the Southwest of my youth!!! You forgot to mention free liquor on every flight to anyone over 21, and free donuts and coffee in the morning at Love Field (and maybe elsewhere?) Getting rid of those things might cause passengers to rush back to Braniff.

You used to offer vitamin water but that went away. How about a snack box or a candy bar or absolutely anything else? Im in exactly the same situation. Have offered NUMEROUS suggestions to Southwest on what they could do and they seem to ONLY want people to drink!

You have 12 months - if you had the card all year then the points from december spending in 2016 that posted in January 2017 are included towards your 2017 CP qualification. Counting the points from December 2017 would be giving you 13 months. Southwest doesn't want to get daily updates from Chase on every card holder purchase. There is also the issue of returns soon after purchase to game the system. I don't think this is an IT problem - they most likely don't want to do that. An earlier poster didn't think the points were equal quality - why would they be? Southwest directly controls the points from flights, which is their core business - these are obviously favorable and reward the more frequent Southwest customers. Points from travel-related partners are also good, tie directly to Southwest's core business, and are relatively infrequent transfers of information (one hotel and one rental car per trip for instance. They can also be booked directly from Southwest's own website.

I recently took Southwest round trip from Oakland to San Jose del Cabo and had the same flight attendant, Ester Pickens, on both flights. Not only does her personality light up a room, but she displayed great professionalism. A true asset to you Company!! Over my career I have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles and come in contact with a lot of airline personell. Both good and bad experiences. In recent years more bad than good. However, Esther deserves to be recognized as one of the best. Barry Ogilby

Hello, As you said that you were on a round-trip on between New Orleans and Chicago, might be these bed bugs came from your travel suitcase because these bugs can be on the plane going across the seas, which means everyone around your luggage can be infected, and these bugs can spread the infestation to many places at once, just from picking one up then getting on a plane. If you have bed bugs in your home, then it is best you get rid of these insects because if these bed bugs bite any family member of yours then these bites will leave red rashes to your body. So, the most effective tools to get rid of with these bedbugs are to clean your travel suitcase, clean your clothes and your home. But if still it doesn't work, then it is best that you hire an exterminator bed bugs expert where the experts will use chemical spray and help you to eliminate all bed bugs permanently.
