We see people gaming most any system put in place. This is just one such example. I have been in line with a veteran of war that could easily legitimately qualify for pre board but he would not have it. He was pretty outraged at the people he saw clearly gaming the policy. This was going on with emotional support dogs as well. To the people that do this, shame on you.

Yes, I saw that this weekend as well. I think it was there before, although I avoid the kiosk if possible.

At MCO, you can carry on an unlimited number of items including your new refrigerator you got on sale. No problems! LOL

Got my changes to this morning. Not really happy since they changed it to one with a 3 hour layover. I changed it to a later flight and a 2 hour layover.

Flying to Florida in the summer is rough
1. almost daily Seabreeze, storms causing ground stops and delayed flights
2. awful heat and humidity sweat with only being outside 5min in some cases
Florida in July/Aug is a "no" for me although somehow I keep end up doing it.

I recently read that it could take Southwest two years to gear up for redeye flights for issues related to crew contracts. New pilot and flight attendant contracts were just settled recently. Surely this issue, which was proposed last year already by the company, were addressed in these contracts. What could possibly take two more years? There are already flights carrying over into the following day (DEN-ATL 2100-0155) in the schedule. Common guys; get this done!

Here it is again! I just installed a new WiFi network at home - I tried to select it to connect to it - and here is SouthwestWifi jumping up to take the password from the WiFi I’m trying to connect to (I never tapped on to connect to SouthwestWifi - SouthwestWifi is not even an option of a network to connect to from Wi-Fi’s available - it simply buts in and steals password entry.

As long as the flight attendants can seamlessly carry out their duties, the uniform isn't the top priority, right? Efficiency is key! However, if you ever find yourself in the mood for a casual exploration, you might want to check out some comfortable yet stylish options at https://www.fullsource.com/sport-tek-clothing/. After all, why not blend practicality with a touch of style when it comes to work attire?

The max s 2 vouchers vi a any medium. You have to pay taxes with real money thus the third cannot be a voucher.
But per person? I've never experienced this - online you only get three per reservation regardless of number of passengers on that reservation.
Not sure if you called to book a larger group could you use more.

I think SWA could easily reach a lot destinations in Colombia and Ecuador from their Florida and Texas locations. It would be great to see Southwest expand service to Bogota and or Medellin, Colombia. The current flights servicing those locations by Avianca, JetBlue and Spirit are always full.

No - the standby option is only for earlier flights.
However, same day change will confirm you to a later flight.
Here's a link with the differences between the two options:
https://www.southwest.com/airfare-types-benefits/sameday-standby-change/
You can't standby for a later flight because if it turned out you didn't get confirmed your other flight is already gone. So you can only be confirmed (by same day change) to move later so that you don't get stranded.
I guess technically you could standby for a later flight under the condition that you'd be cleared for the later one before the earlier one departed. But if you weren't cleared at that time you'd have to board the original flight.

Yes, we can all read the policy, but when an agent on the phone tells you that they are going to make an exception and issue a refund the customer should be able to trust that. Southwest Vacations is the most dishonest and incompetent company I have ever worked with.

If you announce a full flight at the gate, you will encourage a rush of everyone wanting to preboard.
Best to figure it out after preboarding.

SoCalFlyer97 uses two tabs on a desktop machine to shop/book flights not necessarily to save time but the intent for me is to save me from seeing numerous "Don't forget to book your trip" emails in my inbox.
When I go through the Low Fare Calendar, I'll open up a new browsing window and shop in incognito mode. Once I find something, I'll login from my standard window and book the flight. That way, if I'm looking up my different date and airport options a decide to opt out of the higher priced options, it won't trigger this email.
