Did it come down in turbulence?
There's a big difference between q bin coming down in turbulence vs one that was damaged when a passenger's head whacked it in turbulence.

Can they do this? Yes if it was the airline's fault in some way they are able to fix mistakes.
They are not likely to go for this if the problem is that you want to change your plans, the normal scenario would be that you have to pay the current price for changes. (No change fee!)

Really depends on how your bank processes the transaction and what they do in an overdraft situation. It has nothing to do with the vendor or company you are buying from.

From where I was standing, most of the "rude" behavior is initiated by the passenger. Something doesn't go right and automatically the gate agent becomes the focal point of the attack.
I have found SW employees to be very helpful, cheerful and much better than the rest.

Native New Englander here. It is often chilly in the spring (40s in southern New England, 30s in the north). It will snow during the month of March but the snow will melt fairly quickly. What are you looking to do?
I agree that fall is better.

I had a bad experience booking with Southwest Vacations and ended up getting about $450 back as compensation.
Make no mistake, this company is not Southwest but I wrote to Southwest's CEO several times and finally got results.
Never will I book with them again, even if they pay me for the vacation. You can do better booking things on your own.

i read this and thought it was me writing. Did you ever find a solution to this fear? I am trying now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Southwest is short of plane at this moment, so it doesn't have many "spare" planes.
So probably not.

I forgot to check in at the 24 hour mark. I also do not travel often so keep that in mind! I have a four hour and three hour long flight tomorrow. I'm in C14 and B54. Is it worth the $100 bucks to upgrade to A or will I be able to get a 'good enough' seat for those flights? I am flying solo. Thanks for your input!
You are probably already flying today with those two long flights but if not, if you opt for taking what comes and you are looking at middle seats or trying to sniff out that last aisle seat you may want to look for a comfy middle seat and just take it or maybe you'll be lucky and see two people that are probably traveling together but sitting in aisle/window seats hoping for an empty middle.
*The last time this came up for me some guys were trying to punk their boss who was sitting further back and tipped me off that him and his wife were traveling together sitting aisle window but when I rolled up and asked for the middle they didn't want to sit together and I got the middle. 😂

I don't know that there's any particular order to the release, at least not an order that makes sense to people other than the Southwest schedulers.
I don't usually advise buying on schedule release day, prices tend to be higher, but with non-expiring travel credits there's no longer a fear of getting credits and not being able to use them. If you buy on schedule release day just be sure to re-price your flights often.

On August 8, Southwest lost our bag flying from PWM to STL. It was a large case holding 5 days of dirty laundry for our family of 5. I waited 5 days to file a claim and then painstakingly entered every item I could remember. Photos helped, but trying to remember the purchase location, date, and cost was a challenge. After exactly 30 days our claim was settled. Because we don’t have proof of purchase for the shorts, tshirts, and underwear purchased a year or two ago, Southwest decided we only deserve to be repaid 64% of the value of our items. The total of our original claim was $2552 and we’re receiving $1650. I just wanted to give others concrete figures, as I wasn’t able to find out how much they would depreciate our items,

See if there are any kiosks at that airport to self-service a boarding pass, but I have seen some long lines in the past two years for luggage check-in.
Seen them...as I walked on by to the Priority Lane so I can't completely empathize, but there have been some long lines. Especially in the early morning but not the super-duper early flights but in the 7-8 a.m. range of check-ins.

Aircraft swaps are common and Normally you would not get a voucher unless there was a significant delay on the next leg. If you still arrive on time they would not owe you anything.

I use CLEAR and PreCheck so I'm a bad person to ask in that regard.
Agree. I've had Clear for about 2.5 years and in my 70+ flights during that time have never spent more than about 2 minutes in line at any airport - DAL/DFW/DEN/ MDW/ORD*/STL . It really is a supercharged PRE.
I'm lucky in that UA comps the fee as I am still United 1K.
*except terminal 5 which has no Clear so PRE is as good as it gets.

I agree - it says "three forms" of payment, so it is not unreasonable that someone would say okay I'm only using two forms, credit card and travel credits. Not realizing each travel credit counts separately.

Generally if a card has a chip, then a chip must be used. If the chip malfunctions or cannot be read, the credit card number can be manually entered, but the chip has to fail multiple times for this to become an option - at least 3 I believe.

Considering travel funds no longer expire starting today, I fail to see a need to ever convert travel funds to a voucher anymore.
