You were absolutely correct about adding the RR number. I had to change a reservation, added the RR number, and everything showed up.
It's my recollection that previously if you were booking with points and filled in the box with your RR number, the system made you remove it before you could move on. In any event, thank you for solving the problem for me. Now, why didn't any of the Southwest people give me the answer years ago?

If anyone needs to hear this advice then I'm sorry for them. If you have time why would you leave before being sure they were taken care of?
Then Part B - if the person needing assistance is there and realizing things aren't going well, you need to ask for some help. I've seen pilots and other staff pushing people. I've offered my services as a civilian to a lady that was needing help at BWI when there weren't enough people to assist. Look for another able-bodied passenger and ask them.
People walking by don't automatically know that your mother is going to miss her flight.

That's what I always told my business peers. For any meeting, I flew in the night before. PERIOD
I have watched people stroll in after lunch many, many times when the meeting started at 8:00 AM. You basically wasted your time if you missed more than half of the day.

I don't care for your tone either.
Anyone with a disability has rights and I am beyond tired of the complaining that someone gets on a plane before them, etc. etc. etc.
The number of posts about everyone bickering about seating is so old I can't describe words for it.
Fly Delta. I used to when I was in Atlanta. Get your assigned seat and ride First Class like I did for 20 years

Federal laws governing the issue of credit do not permit any type of punitive reaction from the lender where they believe you will get the card and just sit on it, so they are not going to issue the card.
If you have excessive debt, then the decision to deny credit is legitimate.
My response was viewed as a solution, so let's leave it at that.

You could get creative and turn a 2 segment trip into a 4 segment trip. How?
Well, instead of flying MDW/ DEN and DEN/MDW for example you could buy two multi city trips: MDW/MCI/DEN and DEN/MCI/MDW . That earns you 4 segments.
To start, look at where you are flying and which flights involve connections. Then build a multi city trip between those three cities.

You were certainly welcome to post that as a reply instead of just complaining about my tone. It would have been slightly more productive and useful. I will note that now that Southwest sends emails informing the RR account holder that points have been deducted from their account it is not necessary to "monitor" their account. Clearly the OP was seeking assistance from the Community and you failed to inform them as to why that would not work. Explaining why a post to the Community is not going to get them the help they need is important to reduce frustration when they are just told to go elsewhere.
Nice try though.

From the traveling with an infant FAQ:
"you’ll need a Boarding Verification Document (BVD) for the infant so they can board. BVDs can be printed at the airport on the day of travel"

I preboard on every flight. It is my right.
I do not need the wheelchair but do meet the criteria. I often have one companion but never five. I agree that it should be better managed.
Ultimately, Southwest created this perfect storm. When you have unassigned seats and also must comply with the Air Carrier Act, those that preboard get the best selection of seats. That is not to be blamed on people who preboard, that is Southwest's own brew.
This subject has been complained about for YEARS and has not changed.

On August 8, Southwest lost our bag flying from PWM to STL. It was a large case holding 5 days of dirty laundry for our family of 5. I waited 5 days to file a claim and then painstakingly entered every item I could remember. Photos helped, but trying to remember the purchase location, date, and cost was a challenge. After exactly 30 days our claim was settled. Because we don’t have proof of purchase for the shorts, tshirts, and underwear purchased a year or two ago, Southwest decided we only deserve to be repaid 64% of the value of our items. The total of our original claim was $2552 and we’re receiving $1650. I just wanted to give others concrete figures, as I wasn’t able to find out how much they would depreciate our items,

I doubt this to be true. It may have been removed because it would interfere with equipment or was already damaged.
You will have to prove your case. Southwest hears stories all day long. Next we will hear that they removed a rare Rembrandt painting from your luggage and sold it on the black market.

@JulieB thanks for the trip report. On flights to Hawaii you are not only getting EarlyBird purchasers, but many people are connecting from earlier flights which allows them to check in 24 hours prior to their first flight which may be several hours before the check-in time for people not connecting.

When you travel, you have to be aware of the bag's weight. The fact that you had an overweight bag means you pay the fee. It does not mean that you get credit for the other bag's difference between the actual weight and the limit.
There is nothing absurd about the policy.

I preboard on every flight. It is my right under ADA.
As far as the whole family, a preboard person can take with them one companion. When the whole family with kids wants to preboard, the question is what do they do with the kids when they aren't on the plane?
If they are able to keep up with the kids, then they don't need to preboard.
Next time, request a wheelchair and you will be first on and off the plane. I just watched a family abuse the preboard policy on the way from Los Cabos MX to Houston. They probably were awake all night trying to rig the preboard rules so that they could all get the front rows.
Next time, I'm requesting a wheelchair to get on ahead of these people.

I found an interesting new data point. As stated in the article, the new fare will be slotted between WGA and Anytime, and it would not take anything away from any other fare class. Apparently, Southwest also says that they will be increasing the benefits tied to BS, Anytime, and WGA fares. Okay, now I'm truly stumped. If they had said "enhancing", I'd jokingly say that it was a euphemism, but the word used was "increasing".
