It could be, depending on how old your son is. Just reach out to Customer Relations and they'll be able to change the dob on the reservation. Just be aware that you may need to send in a copy of his birth certificate for them to change it.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Southwest does not currently have interline agreements with other airlines so regardless of the reason for cancelation, they will not book you on a different airline.

@basslaw2010 wrote: To add on, Rapid Rewards shopping is even easier than Rapid Rewards dining because with dining you have to find a participating restaurant and may have to spend more than you want. With shopping, you can buy something online for just a few dollars and choose in store pickup to avoid shipping fees. And, you can buy something you were going to buy anyway. I eat a lot, so I'm clear on that one, but I see what you mean about any item that you were going to buy anyway.

Yes, thanks for your reply and feedback. JB Family Pooling is rather sophisticated. It is optional, I had to sign up and agree to pool my points with my husband. I can request to "unpool” at any time, Points are “tagged” per person so that my points would be returned to my account. The Pooling allows us to purchase a ticket for which alone we would be shy of points, and purchasing or paying to gift points would not make ecomonic sense. Also the Pooling is really helpful for a family with children who might qualify for purchasing 1 flight using pooled points. Actually the JB Pooling Program has promoted people I know to fly JB instead of SW.

Just remember, you had to have reported the damage to Southwest within 4 hours of when you received your luggage (if this was a domestic flight). That said, as this is mainly a Customer to Customer forum, I suggest you reach out to Southwest directly through their Customer Relations Department.

MDW additional infomration... There are also at least two family restrooms, one is between the two conventional restrooms on the A4A concourse right off the main hallway (these are my favorite conventional restrooms at MDW, modern and spacious) and there is also a pet relief area there if I recall. Then also a family restroom is located on the B concourse about halfway down. C concourse is usually very quiet if you just wanted a secluded seat, but not necessarily private area.

You can always check the route map: click on "FLIGHT" at the top of the homepage and then Route Map in the box that opens. https://www.southwest.com/flight/routemap_dyn.html?clk=GSUBNAV-AIR-ROUTEMAP This will tell you all the non-stops and connections from each city.

Southwest does not outsource calls. One issue that people deal with is when they Google Southwest from their phones, or whatnot, the first listing or so is not Southwest Airlines. It is a third party that will simply access your reservation through Southwest.com and then charge you all these fees, etc. Like mentioned before, if you can't reach them via Twitter or make the change online yourself, you will need to wait on hold. Just remember, when weather hits, for every flight that has to be canceled, that's approxitmately 140 people per flight that need to be reaccommodated.

There may be routes (with a connection) that won't show up as available options because the connection would require an overnight in the connecting city. Southwest's reservation system won't allow for that. If you plug in a search for city A to Grand Cayman and it says no flights found you'll need to build the trip as two flights on either the outbound or inbound flight (or perhaps both) and plan on staying overnight in a connection city. If you reply with your departure city I can try to help get more specifics. --TheMiddleSeat

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother and understand your urgency to book a flight. If you reached out to Customer Relations and they are sending you a voucher for expired travel funds, it generally only takes a day or two for you to receive it via email. Things can go wrong but generally it only takes 24-48 hours for you to receive it.

As far as I'm aware, yes. The amount just varies and the cards with the higher anniversary points also have the higher annual fee. https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/southwest/65KDual?CELL=6PLV&clk=1938001

So sorry to hear about your experience. Southwest does act as the middleman for many hotels, etc., so if you have specific issues with the hotel, it would probably be best to reach out to the hotel directly. Additionally, this is mainly a customer to customer forum so if you want Southwest to receive your feedback, it would be best to either call or email them.

Just to go a bit further, Southwest doesn't keep a database of travel funds. Travel funds are linked to the confirmation number and are passenger-specific. So make sure to save your confirmation number so you can use the funds when you book your next flight.

@bhangad wrote: Thanks @rtbarron for the proper reply. really appreciated. I'll put @rtbarron down for solution to the original poster's question - but I'm still not sure of the new question about changes to tickets with the new flight between 36-25 hours prior. As far as I've ever heard, the EBCI and A-list position assignments aren't "re-run" after the 36 hour time and would have to check-in manually. I don't know the technical obstacles that would keep them from re-running, obviously anyone with that EBCI would be at the end of the EBCI line with the others having already been checked in at 36 hours prior, but that would still be better than nothing. At 25 hours prior you would also be behind connecting passengers who may have a 1-6 hour head start on you from checking in at their origination flight. Having made a few last-minute changes before I believe I lost the A-list check-in, but now I don't remember if those were 25 hours prior changes, or less than 24 hour changes when I did that. I wouldn't have had EBCI either way.
