"Which offer do you think is best?" For me, the 10k companion pass points would be my best option. I'm going to be close to getting CP this year and this would help ensure I get it. Let us know what you decide! 🙂

I book hotels almost exclusively through Southwest so I can get the RR points - I've gotten as much as 8,000 points for a 3 night stay once! In my experience it can take up to 8 weeks for them to post, and there aren't really any workarounds for that except for waiting for them to post to your account. --Jessica

And that's what the terms and conditions say. 😉 *You will earn a total of 3 points for each $1 spent, on up to $1,500 in total purchases each month, in the grocery store category from 05/01/2020 to 06/30/2020. That's 2 points on top of the 1 point you already earn on grocery store purchases with your card. We group similar merchant codes into categories for purposes of making rewards offers to you. Please note: We make every effort to include all relevant merchant codes in our rewards categories. However, even though a merchant or some of the items that it sells may appear to fit within a rewards category, the merchant may not have a merchant code in that category. When this occurs, purchases with that merchant won't qualify for rewards offers on purchases in that category. @Magwebb33 here's the click sequence I'd follow if I needed to get documentation/audit the points (all on a desktop computer rather than on a mobile device): On the main Chase account screen near where it says "Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards", click "See details" Click "See rewards history" Click on each of the appropriate time periods. I'm *guessing* that based on what you've posted you should see all of the activity that Chase shows you've earned to get to your expected points total. For each time period you should see labels like "+ 2X Pts for Southwest purchases" -and- "+ Points earned on all other purchases" -and- "+ New Cardmember Bonus". Hopefully you see all of the points you think were earned. Very important, you should also see an entry for each time period labeled "- Total Rapid Rewards transf. to Southwest" If you see all of the points on the Chase account then so far so good, you have confirmation the points were earned according to Chase. If you don't see any points there then that's where to start. I'm *assuming* the points were earned on the Chase side and that you see the lines with points transferred to Southwest. Now go to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account. After logging in click "My Account" then click the "Recent Activity" side bar area. Click "View all activity". You should see the corresponding points posted with the label "Rapid Rewards Credit Card..." with the corresponding date. Also take a look at the physical Southwest credit card. The back of the card should have "RR #########" printed on the back, that number should match the RR# at the very top of the Southwest site when you are logged in (look in the top left corner). If the number on the credit card does not match the online account number then that is a good indicator that the points went to the wrong place. Hopefully this helps!

I agree with @PDFelter however if they are unable to help over the phone then I would watch the flight to see if it has a seat open up. if a seat doesn't open before your departure day then I would show up a little earlier on departure day to the airport and they should be able to help at the full service ticket counter since you have up until an hour before the flight to add the companion. Hope it works out easily! Blake

If you are concerned about points expiring, you might want to sign up for the dining for points program, and have a cheap lunch somewhere. My experience is that points coming as a result of this program typically show up within a week or two of the event.

HERE'S A SIMPLE AND EASY SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM: When a passenger asks for a pre-boarding pass, the agent should ask him or her if they need physical assistance getting down the jetway? If not, then simply ask them to go ahead and board with their group. Interestingly, I experienced this being done in Denver several months ago. I was not well at the time and asked the agent at the gate for a pre-boarding pass just to test it to see how easily this could be done. The agent asked me this question which I thought was courteous but also direct and to the point. I had to admit that, no, I would not have any trouble making my way down the jetway. I honestly thought that Southwest must be training their gate agents to ask this question. However, subsequently I have seen the same long lineup of people pre-boarding who look like the picture of health. There will always be people who are not truthful when asked this question. But most will respond like I did and board with their group.

I don't think that would be restricted, what if you had separate clients that you needed to reimburse expenses individually for each car trip? It sounds like a pain to keep bringing the car back for an exchange unless you have a way for the rental company to leave it in your possession for each rental period...I haven't ever heard of that before. If you are paying for the rental on your Southwest Visa then the total cost also applies at dollar per point, so in that regard you capture the length of rental in the rewards although presumably less than the 600 incentive points. I've been making CP pretty comfortably the past few years, I don't think this would be worth it to spend the time returning the car multiple times unless you had to, or you were staying near the rental place where it was super convenient.

You have 12 months - if you had the card all year then the points from december spending in 2016 that posted in January 2017 are included towards your 2017 CP qualification. Counting the points from December 2017 would be giving you 13 months. Southwest doesn't want to get daily updates from Chase on every card holder purchase. There is also the issue of returns soon after purchase to game the system. I don't think this is an IT problem - they most likely don't want to do that. An earlier poster didn't think the points were equal quality - why would they be? Southwest directly controls the points from flights, which is their core business - these are obviously favorable and reward the more frequent Southwest customers. Points from travel-related partners are also good, tie directly to Southwest's core business, and are relatively infrequent transfers of information (one hotel and one rental car per trip for instance. They can also be booked directly from Southwest's own website.
