@byrdbrain591 Generally, this is the first exit row seat to be chosen, and I would say that 9/10 times+, it will be taken by someone in the first half of the A boarding group. Note that pre-boarders cannot choose to sit in the exit row.

@DfDrPepper_23 I don’t work for the airline so I don’t know why mobile wallet functionality was unavailable. I do know technology is not perfect so at times things break. The airline fixed the issue to most that's all that matters and Southwest did inform customers of the issue (other airlines would make you call and wait on hold for an hour or longer to find out there is a glitch). If you would like an official answer from Southwest directly you can reach out by clicking on the “contact us” link at the bottom of the page. -Blake

Last month I think you were telling everyone that you wanted to find a way to "turn off" your userid for the community. Any luck in that endeavor?

TTRAVEL - Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We were made aware of the issue at the beginning of last week. It was affecting a small amount of our Customers (unfortunately you/your office was one), and was resolved on Friday morning (10/4/19). We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and hope that everything is working as expected at this time.

I think the only thing they do now is give out plastic wings. You can reach out in advance to SW, but definitely let the flight attendant know when you board the plane! Good luck!

It doesn’t take much flying on SW to understand that this was an isolated incident. SW didn’t even have to state that this is out of character for them for me to know it is out of character for them. But I have to leave it up to them to handle it appropriately, and I expect that they will. And political leanings aside, I won’t boycott the airline with the best customer service in the biz over the actions of one, however irresponsible.

I’m sorry you experienced was less than stellar based on some disconnect around information. The “Priority” card does reimbursed upgraded boarding while the “Premier” card does not. It would not be hard for someone to be confused. No company is perfect. While you are sharing your feedback with the social outlets, perhaps you should use the Contact Us link below to share your feedback directly with Southwest. That is the only feedback that will lead to change.

As others have said, Early Bird 'checks' you in 36 hours in advance in order to give you a better boarding position, but you still have to check in yourself to obtain said boarding pass and board the flight. The great benefit is, it doesn't matter if you check in 24 hours ahead or a few hours ahead, as your boarding pass is already assigned to you. You just have to check in and print / download (etc) it. --Jessica

Agreed. Frontier's regular coach seats --combined with their crazy-tight seat pitch and joke of a tray-table -- make for an awful experience for any flight over an hour. When I fly Frontier (often now, due to Southwest abandoning almost all non-stops CLE-LAS) I choose the Stretch seats, which are actually quite comfortable and have great legroom. And even with bag fees and full refundability (I choose the "Works" package) the total fare is usually less than a connecting flight on Southwest. I personally would never choose a "regular" Frontier seat, but there are definitely certain passengers for whom the price point is convincing and/or the only option. Carriers like Frontier and Spirit have taken over that section of the market, once dominated by Southwest, as Southwest moves away from low cost and more into becoming a legacy carrier.

My wife has arthritic knees and must get up and walk up and down the aisle several timed during each flight. Thus, she needs an aisle seat at the front or back of the plane. To quote Southwest's rule: [She has] a specific seating need to accommodate [her] disability . We get EBCI as a matter of course as it is worth it to me to not have to watch the clock to check in. Even getting B-20s boarding positions we have never had a situation where we have not gotten the seat arrangement she needs. We could probably get early boarding based on her seating need, but it really isn't necessary. If only some of the people who use early boarding would think "is this really necessary or is there another way to get the seat I need" it could reduce the number of preboarders and the stigma that is attached to them throughout these forums.
