Purchase early boarding either in the app or at the gate using the credit card. You'll receive a credit soon afterwards.

I really wouldn't expect a response, at least one that had anything informative. Like I said, the hope is the comment will be routed to the group responsible for programming these things and they look into it, but even that would be a stretch.
You really will do better with boarding positions if the companion pass holder does not purchase Business Select fares, but it's certainly understandable if that is desired for the benefits it offers.

Holding a flight for late arrivers could cause passengers on the held flight to miss their own connections.

Edit: Also, in general if you ask, people are often willing to move forward or back a row to let you sit near each other as things fill up. Though it's not likely someone will move from an aisle/window to a middle seat unless it is for a special reason (like your flight companion is a child).
Children and newlyweds for me.
You co-workers out there can just catch up when you land instead, or use the free messaging.

Ha! This tweet is what started the whole discussion:
"losing my mind, just offered the aisle seat to the guy sitting between me and my gf on a flight, and he said he’d rather stay in the middle seat between us"
And this is by far the best reply:
"Real energy vampire is the one who booked two seats apart and is now making it someone else’s problem"
I just don't understand how someone booked 2 seats *apart* from each other and then expected someone to move from their assigned seat? This obviously was not a Southwest flight, because it wouldn't happen!

At least you know why it's doing what it's doing. There is a loophole to allow you to transfer the credit by converting it into a transferable Wanna Get Away Plus fare. Use the credit you have to book the Wanna Get Away Plus fare on any flight for the passenger associated with the credit that is not you. Book for the amount of the credit you currently have, or at least what you want to use towards the flight you actually plan to take. Right after booking that flight, cancel that flight, then you will have a credit that you can transfer to yourself or someone else and use that to book the flight you actually want to take.

I'll continue to call CS and will get back with you all, but anyone else that can recall -with some proof - such an occurrence is helpful to my case, and this certainly shouldn't happen again, by IT/web design people or whoever!
You should have an icon of a camera that lets you attach photos, subject to moderation so the photo upload may not take place instantly with your post.
All the instances I can recall would support that maybe it was misread and was actually proposing WGA+ but I hope you are able to resolve the issue and if there is a bug or glitch to get it fixed.

Also, since my next statement closes 1/7/2023, does that mean only the points in December 2022 count or the entire statement? Since it said calendar year for the companion pass.
Everything spent from when the prior closing took place 12/7/2022 for instance will show up in 2023 with the closing you identified 1/7/23.
So Christmas spending for you if it's after 12/7 will be for next year's qualification.
Christmas spending in November will count towards 2022 and should already be showing up as points.

Although I don't know if the short notice cancellation policy is still in place or not (I haven't flown on SW for 2 years and I Know they did make some changes to policies, but regardless, I generally don't buy the insurance, especially if the trip is cheaper since I tend to book everything -- rental car, flights and hotels -- separately and never as a package deal).
10 minutes prior to scheduled departure still applies.
But TL;DR from your original question: if Southwest is the cause of your delay, they will get you on the next option to your destination without paying for a ticket.
If you'd like to share your airports we can offer any suggestions about alternate routing, likelihood of finding another flight soon, etc.
For instance I took a trip to Nassau recently - there's only one flight a day there. So if you miss that connection, you are going to be a day for the next one.
But MDW to DEN there are many flights a day, chances are good to go same day.
If you are nervous, try to build in a longer layover.

2 points I found interesting, Boeing is shipping new planes, and Southwest is still short pilots
True, but Boeing is still not shipping any Max7s, and Southwest was expecting to take 70 of them THIS YEAR. Heck, the model has not yet been certified, and SW has orders in for 247 of them. This is killing Southwest.
New rules kick in for planes certified after 12/27/2022, and that would apply to the MAX7 as well. The new rules require a cockpit do over, and Boeing has said it might just cancel the model if it gets to that point.

The way you described it sounds like you should be fine.
Otherwise book a flight now with refundable fare, or park some money on a WGA fare if you see a good one for the 200 points and then change it to a flight next year if you don't end up using it since travel funds don't expire now it won't be a big risk of not using it.

Really depends on how your bank processes the transaction and what they do in an overdraft situation. It has nothing to do with the vendor or company you are buying from.

I lived in the Birmingham AL area for 20 years. I know the airport and it is well run. I am going to guess that you arrived at the "tiny" airport in a nick of time rather than the standard two hours before flight time.
If this is true, you had a compressed schedule which is why the bags didn't make it on the first flight and had to wait for the next flight.
Please confirm your arrival time at the airport versus the flight departure time.

With option 2, since only refundable fares are currently available (Anytime and Business Select) the OP would cancel that reservation and get a full refund, not travel credit. They could then book a WGA fare using the refund.
It's spring break, hard to say if WGA fares will become available. If you can afford it, book something now, then deal with refunds later should a lower price become available.

The rule is vague. If you sell your seats on the plane, and you come along with a child under 13 and there are no seats "together", the what do you do?
If you are an airline with assigned seats, you are not going to move a passenger that is already paid for a seat. If you are Southwest, you are not going to run around asking people who have already occupied a seat to move. So, either the child sits by him/her self or you tell the purchaser that no seats are available that are "together".
The DOT needs to earn their salary and give a specific recipe for how this is accomplished. Such crap is like the EPA saying that airlines should do their very best to not produce any hydrocarbons or oxides of nitrogen during flight.

You can’t take alcoholic drinks on a plane, either (to my knowledge). You can take sealed mini bottles under 3.4oz, but that’s it. In most places you cannot walk around with open alcoholic beverages.

Well, of course on the way back I did check, by phone, if the reservation had my wifes KTN, of course it did! The agents at the desk also found that It was in the system, but no one could print another ticket with the Tsa pre emblem at the top of the ticket. So we again parted ways and I breezed thru the TSA line and she did the other line and came out 15 minutes later. The sad thing was that the TSA agent in Baltimore did not need my ticket just my drivers license!! I only needed the ticket to get past the guard dog at the front of the TSA entrance. I get it, someone up there is punishing me for something, perhaps for some really cheesy code I wrote in the past, karma will get you every time.

Yep. Interesting.
While they’re fixing it…hopefully they’ll put in a way to automatically use them. I often times just open up the browser anyway so I can paste them into the app for a new ticket purchase.
Otherwise I have to take a screen shot off the website and then manually type them in.
Both are really a needless hassle.

Almost any company that wants to attract new customers and not lose old ones is trying to prepare a good offer. This can be anything from discounts to some procedures in the service. Some companies even prepare requests in which you can take an additional person. The fee goes up slightly, but it's two people on vacation. I know this for sure because I use Expedia Coupons every time I travel. For me, it's an opportunity to find a good deal where I can put money aside, for shopping, for example. But I would like to hear from someone else for tips on saving money better when traveling. In my opinion, this is a useful enough skill to learn.
