One other thing to keep in mind is if you are ALP or AL with other passengers on your reservation they will be automatically checked in sequential order after the AL/ALP member so if your AL with 5 people 6 of the A spots are taken just from one person

Yeah this is not fun. Most airlines have a flat tire rule if you show up within 2 hours of your original flight they will usually let you go standby on the next flight and if you explain to the customer service agent they will probably have been told the same story by another group and hopefully can assist.
i would try to reach out to customer relations and maybe they can do something just click the contact us link at the bottom of this page ands fill out the form.

I wish in the case of schedule changes they allow you to accept the change so you can manage your reservation like normal I have expressed my feedback to Southwest about this new way of dealing with schedule changes

I was 1 gate off from the new plane with outlets I tried to use my same day standby just to get on that plane for once but no connection would have been available for me so I had to pass but the agent did get a good laugh out of the reason why I wanted to go 1200 miles in the opposite direction first

that’s why they will try and get people to move so they don’t have some kind of interaction with a set of strangers and a kid.
Maybe they were on a connection and running late maybe they don’t know about family boarding you were new at one point

i have several trips coming up from my annual Bahamas trip next week to 3 cruises booked so far but the one I’m looking forward to the most is April where I’ll get to visit several ports I haven’t been to (Barbados, St. Lucia, and Puerto Rico) plus a few repeats that were fun last time so can’t wait to go back
first though my first quick weekend trip of the year coming up on Saturday AUS/DAL saying I haven’t been on a plane since last year sounds weird 😂

My favorite trip was my cruise to St Martin where I did plane spotting just feet from the airport at the beach. If you haven’t been jet blasted it is pretty cool and looking forward to going back in April on another cruise.

If you were actually a list preferred you would know things happen and should be understanding of that.
maybe your plane needs to be taken out of service once it lands for a maintenance check or repair
maybe your inbound crews flight was canceled and planes won’t be able to go without a crew

Oh and I bet you probably looked at the CBS report that only mentioned the 6 cancellations of other airlines NOT including the delays. Those other airlines will delay flights overnight I’ve never seen an overnight delay
they were quick to mention the delays on Southwest but quick to toss out that info of other airlines.

I’d recommend if your expecting a response from southwest that you use the contact us link at the bottom of this page that way they can investigate and deal with the situation
Did you report the incident to the flight attendant or just assume they saw it? Flight crew is busy thanking passengers and saying bye when deplaning not looking rows back to see if people are not behaving. Did you report it to anyone?
did you kick their seat the whole flight or something? I just find it weird someone would just say let’s kick the guy behind me just for the hell of it on my way off the plane or maybe they were drunk again we don’t know since we weren’t there
If you have any evidence you might include that when you email Southwest (pictures of a bruise from the kick, video of altercation, names of witnesses)

That woman would receive denied boarding compensation which is a not a C small sum of money
also she mentions being stuck in Baltimore overnight but yet says they wouldn’t let her board in Montego Bay. There’s a lot more to the story that she clearly is not saying or if you’re simply unaware of they don’t just pick a person to remove. She mentions being on standby therefore she does not have a confirmed seat on that flight or worst case. If she actually had a real seat they wouldn’t bump the entire family only one person lots of missing facts in this case.
when it comes to bumping a person, they have a process and an order such as non-revenue people then the last to check in they don’t just pick because of who you are.

I like the back row sure that seat may not recline but I think you might like the east access to the bathroom should your group need it and if they are active they won’t bother anyone behind them just potentially the row in front of they are kickers. Also in the back you have easy access to the flight attendants should you need anything. Another reason I like the back row no one to kick your seat and you have extra time to prepare everyone during boarding and deplaning since most want to rush in the front rows
the only time I don’t recommend the last row is when you have a 45min connection it can take 10min if your in the last row to get off and the next flight boards 30min before flight so it gives you 5min to rush from one gate to the next before any flight delay
bathroom smell in the last row: I’ve only had 1 bad smelly experience in the last row usually though it doesn’t bother me.

Yeah back when they were adding in the new Wi-Fi provider I would get stuck on the rev screen my friend discovered if I go to the texting accept the terms then reload the Wi-Fi page it usually loaded. I have no idea why those have anything to do with each other but it worked
