This is what they need to add to the perks packaged. With the Companion Pass getting further and further away...airlines with lounge offerings are beginning to look more attractive. Are the other airlnes' lounges more important than no fees to change or cancel a flight, or bags fly free>? As a low cost airline, SW tries to keep costs low. Lounges cost money. Would you trade higher ticket prices for lounges? For me, and maybe for many, the only significant benefit of those you list is no change fees. Bags fly free on any carrier if you get their credit card, and many business travelers utilize only carry-ons anyway. And sadly Southwest fares are no longer automatically lower than other carriers. Often they're only competitive, and in some cases it's possible to fly business class (with all the associated perks) on another carrier for less than a BS fare on Southwest. In general, AT and BS fares are much higher than refundable fares on other carriers. WGA may be cheaper, but many businesses require their employees to purchase fully refundable fares. For me, no change fees is the most significant advantage Southwest has over other carriers, and it's what keeps me choosing them whenever possible. The benefits of the Rapid Rewards program are close second. All that said, it is very unlikely Southwest will ever have their own airport lounges. It's possible they could partner with lounge providers, but even that I very much doubt will ever happen.

You can always book tickets 1-3 and 4 on separate reservations so you can take advantage of the lower cost and if the cost for ticket 4 goes down later you can get a credit for future travel only valid for that passenger though. Also on the mobile app if you search 1 person it will tell you if there are 5 seats or less at that current lowest price. -Blake

@rgabriel99 wrote: @dfwskier wrote: @spurkapile wrote: One other way to look your confirmation code up even on cancelled flights. Not sure why the SWA person didn't suggest rather than just thank the one person that suggested calling. Go to My Account and then to Recent Activity. It will show all acitivity including cancelled flights, refunded miles, etc. along with your confirmation code. Ironically, it does NOT show travel fund credits. I agree that SWA does not make this particular process easy. There is no reason you should not automatically see all your travel fund credits on My Account when you log in. This is clearly a business decision hoping that a certain amount of travle funds will lapse. If they can show that much detail on my "recent activity", they can list all the travel funds available. I have been an A List Preferred customer as well as achieving Companion fare status for four years straight and that doesn't feel like the SWA philosophy that I get with everything else. Hello. I think that almost everyone would like to see Southwest have a place where travelers xould find all of their available travel funds. When you say "There is no reason you should not automatically see all your travel fund credits on My Account when you log in" there actually may be a reason. We have no idea how complicated it may be to buid a computer interface to capture all credits, a database to store them, and then revise the My Account webpage to provide access, As others have said, Southwest probably does not have the best IT department. I really don't think the company is intentionally encouraging the loss of travel funds, but I do not know that for a fact. IMO Southwest is an honarable company, and encouraging the loss of travel funds is not something an honorable company would do. Until the company provides the feature you seek, we should be responsible for our own actions, and simply save information we get from the company about unused travel funds. It really is that simple. You can't be serious. This would be an extremely easy thing for them to do. I'm sorry for being a jerk, but don't be naive. They don't want you to find your credits. It really is that simple. But you are right, we should be responsible because Southwest Airlines wants to screw us out of our credits so it's up to us to ensure they don't do so. If Southwest wanted to "screw you" out of your travel credits, it would do what United, Delta and American do. It would deduct $200 from travel funds EVERY TIME you tried to use travel funds from a changed or canceled flight. It would be quite simple. Those $180 travel funds? Poof, they're gone. Those $240 travel funds? They're worth $40. Instead SW lets every person who takes responsibility keep every penny of their travel funds. So what's keeping you from acting responsibly?

EBFROST-any other ideas of how to press them on the issue?? IMO, you're not going to get anything better than that. Your best bet is to make sure SW knows you want SW to fly the route. If enough people do that, maybe it will happen.

If Southwest has any 'flaw' at all, this may be it. It's unfortunate that unauthorized access to your account resulted in points being used without your knowledge. I've been reading several of these threads, and ironically, I received an e-mail from Southwest just a few days ago titled: "Action needed - unauthorized account access." Southwest deactivated my password due to my account potentially being accessed without my consent. The day before, a Southwest rep helped me book a flight with points - so could these actions have been related? Or was someone else trying to access my account? Unknown, but I had 2 things in my favor: my account has less than 2,000 points currently, and I don't store any payment information on Southwest.com. If someone *did* try to hack my account with the intention to steal points, I bet they were pretty disappointed 😉 But if I was in a scenario where thousands of points *were* stolen, I'd try everything possible to get them back. It would be pretty obvious to prove that the flights were not booked by me if the flights left anywhere other than PHL since PHL is my primary airport, and I don't fly out of any other location. If they tried to redeem points for *stuff* (RR Shopping), I could make the argument that I have never once used RR Shopping (although I should probably take advantage), but that would obviously be more difficult to prove. Good luck, and I hope you get a satisfactory resolution to this if you haven't already. --Jessica

@Yzguy for you to use travel funds the funds must be booked and flown by the expiration date so in your case since your funds expire in February and March you wouldn't be able to use those funds on your trip in May. Depending on how much you have in travel funds you could wait until they expire and reach out to Southwest customer relations who might be able to issue a voucher for the funds minus $100 meaning if you have $300 in funds they might be able to issue you a voucher for $200 which has an expiration date 6 months later. There is no guarantee they will do it though as it is a case by case situation. -Blake

Hi @Dawna22! I can verify that you can opt to purchase EarlyBird for just the return flight since I just did it myself on a multi-Passenger reservation. As long as everyone is on the same reservation, you only need to check in once. If you purchased EarlyBird, check-in is automatic for each person you purchased EarlyBird for. We look forward to welcoming you and your family onboard!

I work with people who fly often and they said usually it allwas the person who set it up to see all of the passes if they are booked together. How can I get my app to shw me all of the boarding passes? It won't be a "live" solution but when they each check in they can text the boarding passes to their (or your) device and you can then save multiple people to your Apple Wallet or whatever the equivalent functionality is on Android.
