First of all a UM is one that is flying solo.
You would be a YT flying with a minor. Unless I am mistaken, that is allowed.
Gate passes are allowed for unticketed people to help others thru the terminal. Is there a friend or relative that could get an gate pass and fill that role,?

You paid the price that was prevailing at the time of purchase. That's it. If you buy a can of soup at a supermarket for $2.50 and a price of a competing brand was also $2.50, and a week later the grocer has a sale on the comoeting brand for $1.99, do you think you can go back to the grocer and say "I want to switch my soup to save $.51?" Ahh, no.
If SW changed your flight, SW allows you to make a no cost change to a different flight. That would allow you to change to the other flight at no cost.

So sorry for your loss. I totally understand the need to return home. We had to do that on a trip when our dog was with the sitter and was refusing to eat. He was diabetic and needed to eat on a regular basis. We kid now about our 1 day trip to Hilton Head.

Hello,
I have both personal and business Southwest Chase cards.
When I filter I can match up all my credit card charges to the points listed on Southwest's site. It seems I got all the credit for Companion Pass, but zero credit (the entire year) for TQP. Does Chase has to instruct SWA to give me the TQP? Shouldn't the points earned (which was reported to Southwest) let Southwest know how much to credit in regards to TQP? I've called both Southwest and Chase and, of course, each claims it's the other's responsibility.
Thanks for your comments.

Yes, you can purchase upgraded boarding for anyone you like, as long as you charge it to your RR Visa.

It's kind of like a television channel. If you don't like it, then don't get involved in the discussion. Don't read them, or respond to them, kind of like an adult would.

Printing tickets is a thing of the past! I don't even think there is an option to print tickets anymore when you check in online; you just go to the airport with your form of identification. If you are checking bags, go to the counter. If you *want* a physical pass at that time, they can give you one. If you already have it on your phone (via the Southwest app or southwest.com, and you can also add the boarding pass to your phone's "wallet"), you don't need a physical copy.

Even though you didn't qualify for A-List Preferred this year based on points, Southwest Credit Cards offer other benefits that might be valuable to you. For example, you can earn points towards A-List status faster with Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs). Southwest Credit Cards also offer benefits like personalized alerts, authorized users, paperless statements, and exclusive access events.

Sounds frustrating! There are a few things to try to get Southwest working on your computer. First, restart your computer - sometimes that clears up little glitches. If that doesn't work, try opening Southwest with a different internet browser, like Firefox or Edge, instead of the one you normally use. Another option is to clear your browser's cache, which is basically its short-term memory. If none of those work, it might be something more complex, but at least you've tried some easy fixes first! Good luck!

Glad to hear I’m not the only one at least! The customer service rep on the phone said all of my flight reservations have my RR # attached so there’s nothing I can do on my end to fix anything. So annoying! Really hope the bug gets fixed soon too

From the responses, I will just book her separately (without companion'ing her).
I am the 'rule-follower type' and don't want or need to get crossways with SWA.
This is a good policy to follow. Keep an eye on the fares in case you can make it work as separate tickets for yourself through BNA but otherwise booking separate may be the best path.

Even if this was an option I would not recommend it. SW WiFi is not consistent and it is not uncommon for it to not be working on your flight.

I agree this is annoying, but if you stay on top of it (by checking your email for the notification of the change), it can work to your benefit because you will have flexibility with re-changing, even to different days.
And I did experience this a few times recently. My OKC-MCO nonstop got 'rebooked' to a layover flight, even though there was still a nonstop whose departure time was simply tweaked a little. It was annoying that I was put on a layover flight, but I just went in and selected and changed to the nonstop OKC-MCO and I was back on a nonstop.
While I understand why you consider this a disadvantage, I consider it an advantage over other airlines and often hope my (long in advance) flight gets changed a little so I have the flexibility of two changes in case I need them.

If you have an event that you have to be there for, whether it's a family obligation or an athletic event or a cruise or some other event it's probably best to fly on the day before the event to give yourself a cushion if something does go wrong.

Some jobs require applicants to live in a certain state. If you don't, it's an instnat reject

Southwest always refunds to the original form of payment. I presume the agent assumed your payment had been in dollars and not vouchers.
In this case the taxes you paid with a CC got refunded, since vouchers cannot be refunded to vouchers, the oerson got a travel credit in the amount of the voucher payment.

Like I have said before, you can do acrobatics and back flips all the way to the gate, wear a t-shirt that says "I CHEAT THE PREBOARD SYSTEM", give an interview on Fox News about your abuse of the system, then self-identify as a person with a disability - PREBOARD.

Hi! I pieced together 2 flights to get to Hawaii from Raleigh RDU. I was originally only carrying a backpack + carryon but they are both very full with no room left; they will still fit but I would probably have to mail souvenirs back! LOL. I'm considering switching to checking a bag. I have the first flight of the day 5am, from what i've read the ticket counter and security do not even open until 4am. The terminal in which Southwest is located does not have the other major airlines so it is not normally as busy as the others (from my research). My question is do you think checking my bag to final destination will make me rushed in getting through security (I do have Pre-check also). TIA!
My main question is that it says you "pieced together" two flights - do you mean a one-way ticket to destination X and then another ticket from X to Hawaii? In that case carrying on may be favorable depending on your time for connection. You may be able to get checked baggage tagged for the final destination in Hawaii but there is a chance you'd have to retrieve it and go through re-checking when you get to X if I'm understanding the post.
