Southwest also has a pretty generous Customers of Size policy, if that is applicable.

Right or wrong, I am afraid that switching airlines would not accomplish your goal of ensuring mask usage. All the major US airlines are apparently not enforcing the use of masks onboard even though they are listing it as a requirement. It is indeed a no-win situation because folks act like being asked to wear a mask is somehow infringing on their rights. But it's very unfortunate that any business would choose to communicate one thing and not do what they say. Masks make me feel better (regardless of whether they are actually effective), and if any airline says they are required, it is a reasonable expectation that you would be able to travel surrounded by folks in masks. Everyone. Because it is "required."

You will be good with that extended expiration date! Which is great because as the situation continues to evolve, our appetites for travel may change. Hopefully that extended date is enough to accommodate your needs for future travel!

Sorry to hear! I have learned to never depend on the TV and wifi and to have a back up plan. Love the SW offerings, but the reliability (especially of the wifi) is still shaky, even though it has gotten better. Agree with @bec102896 -- I would provide feedback about your experience directly to SW.

When you cancel a flight booked with points, the points will be re-deposited back into the account they were redeemed from, and you can either request a refund for the fees or hold them as a travel fund for future travel. More here. If I were you, I would simply request a refund. If you are sure you will be able to use the funds before they expire, that is a fine option too. Remember that travel funds can now be tracked in your Rapid Rewards account.

Hi @rcbb123! Unfortunately, no. When SW announced the extension of travel funds expiration dates, the change in the system did not process for several weeks. The message for the posting of the bonus points remains "in the coming weeks." For most, when the points post does not matter because it will not get them across the finish line for status starting this year, but it sounds like this "boost" may give you what you need to get to A List right now? If that is the case, I understand why you are anxious. Hopefully everything will go through soon!

@ElleIra42 I'm not sure if you will be able to get that answer here since this is a customer community. That said, there may be a few reasons why there is not a firm date: SW might not have a firm date of when they can get the necessary supplies This treatment might require training; this any other operational concerns may mean that the deployment date could vary slight from airport to airport Note that there are already lots of new cleaning procedures already in place. I would recommend reaching out directly to SW if you'd like more info. Use the Contact Us link below. And good for you for doing your research to help determine what is best for you as far as travel is concerned! Others can find that info here: SW Promise If you get more info, pls update us here. And keep an eye out for more info on the community as well. As the time gets closer, SW may share more concrete info.

Only Chase would be able to answer that definitively; an quick internet search yields mixed opinions. CNBC stays no according to this article, but the travel blog community yes according to this article and this one. I would check out the fine print of the offer. Given the general consensus on of travel bloggers, I would trust that Instacart WOULD give you 3x points; however, I would reach out to Chase to be 100% sure.

You can absolutely bring your own snacks...whatever fits in your appropriately-sized bags and does not violate the liquid guidelines for going through TSA. As far as alcohol, you can't drink your own alcohol that you bring on the plane. See here.

According to the Knowledge Base, your EB charges will automatically be refunded if SOUTHWEST cancels the flight. If you cancel your flight, the KB recommends that you contact customer relations via one of the listed options as these requests seem to be handled on a case-by-case basis.

@nostresshere I hear what you are saying, and it is truly a fair questions. But I don't know that I agree that you "have reached CP." Because that communication does not give an effective date, and it also says, "these adjustments will happen automatically and will be reflected in your Southwest Rapid Rewards My Account page over the coming weeks." Until the extra points post, you technically have not reached CP.
Even if the points were to post in the next day or two, it might take some time to actually receive the CP. That said, congrats for being so close! CP is the best! I expect that, like the travel fund expiration date adjustment, it will take some time for things to get loaded/processed through the system. That ended up being several weeks with the travel fund adjustments, so -- as much as I hate to say this -- I would not hold my breath for this to get processed quickly. As has been mentioned, I would book what you need with points and then adjust if you can! Good luck!
