Would you mind sharing the specific promotions you are being excluded from?
That could be very important along with the type of Chase Rapid Rewards CC you have.

As an FYI- you can remove individual(s) from a flight reservation bought with points without torpedoing the whole reservation. There is the of credit of the $11.60 RT taxes which you can then apply to the companion when added (as long as it's the same person, if it was a WGA point fare.)
Recently did this successfully online for a couple of flights next year after I got my CP for 2024.

I hope that you work out your issues with Chase. Your post clearly states you "booked a flight" ie.) purchased a ticket for travel on Southwest. How did you pay for your ticket prior to having a Chase CC in your possession? How, with another form of payment or credit card this specific is an unknown to me since you clearly only state that you "booked a flight". Once you, "booked a flight" with another method of payment, any discount/rebate offered by Chase would be mute.
There is no false advertising here by SWA.
Not really sure where you are going with the rest of your post?
I do wish you Safe travels

That would not have fit the "planned agenda" of the OP.

This is actually the solution, if the prospective pre-boarder is unable to articulate one of the "above-listed reasons," as noted in the DOT issued guidance, there is no reason to pre-board. It is right there in black and white.
Open seating has nothing to do with it.
Will SWA train gate personnel to ask the question in the appropriate fashion to filter out the scammers/abusers? I doubt it, because this takes additional time and there is potential liability if the SWA representative asks the questions incorrectly. (everyone is a jailhouse lawyer now and everyone has a cell phone that takes video.)
The pre-boarding abuse is real, the solution is there in the DOT guidance memo from 10 years ago.

Well SWA has already been handing out promotional A-list status like candy over the last several months anyway. We'll see how it plays out. Requiring 20 flights will keep the "casual" flyer from just falling in to A-list and may actually foster more loyalty from less frequent travelers?
Keeping the point threshold requirements at previously levels will also require loyalty/spend.
I Would still like to see a real perk, besides free "sketchy" wi-fi for A-list Preferred, but that apparently is not in the cards from SWA. (like expedited baggage claim for Preferred flyers like Delta provides)

Website implies BS Flyers get 2 as well, but you cannot "stack them" if you are an A-List member to get 4 per flight.

If they are using SWABIZ I believe there may be a favorable solution for the OP, As mentioned check with you employer/travel planner.

I'm in for another year as well, with CP and A-List+ for 2024, but this continued devaluing of loyal business travelers is disappointing.

Nope, they will not, It's actually in the small print on your CP terms and conditions. You would have to upgrade the Companion as well.

FWIW- I flew out of BWI yesterday, there were over 10 pre-boarders(counting their 2nd person) on the 1st leg, but only 2 pre-boarders on the 2nd leg.
It is what it is

You might get lucky since the since the Giants are playing tomorrow and the network affiliates that SWA carries are New York based. they might do a local feed because of NFL rules? Just a guess

My last return trip to BWI with checked baggage in late August was an improved experience.
Not great but definitely reasonable. At the time, I was basically thrilled it took such a "short" time for my bags to arrive, around 30 minutes.

Jack2act's post and comment continues to highlight the abuse of the system by folks. I don't find it offensive, I hope others are not offended by continued highlighting of abuse, and I'm glad to see SWA employees are monitoring this forum.
The abuse by some folks is real. I truely feel for the gate agents because they in an impossible situation because of the entitled preboarding abusers. Yesterday, I watched an very capable preboarder confront the gate agent because she did not get to pre-board 1st before other preboarders in wheel chairs, (one had a cast on her leg & the other had a cane) were in front of her. The funniest(saddest) part was that this woman had a wheel chair, which she left and walked up to the podium(very quickly), waited approximately 2 minutes, (standing), then asked to be 1st on the plane, and was told she would have to wait until the other 2 folks were boarded in front of her. She was unhappy.
Jetway Jesus was then able to work his magic, on arrival at BWI she wisked herself and her "helper" off the plane and walked briskly down B concourse, (My wife and I lost sight of them rather quickly we could not keep up, (BTW my wife has 2 knee replacements, she does NOT preboard)

I just had some points post to my account on the 28th, but for the life of me I could not tell you exactly when or how I earned them? There is no real explanation, just a new line item in my Rapid Rewards points activity. I believe Chase could do a better job of providing supporting data( an email maybe?), but that's a Chase issue.
Hope you receive your points soon.

Think you really need to go on the Chase website and read the terms and conditions of the specific CC you apply for. Even then, after you apply for the card, reread the the T&C's, issuing banks change the benefits offered often, some for the better some for the worse. They are in business to make money.

Maybe use the multi-city option when booking flights, that gives you a 3rd destination rather than a just roundtrip or one way trip. You can string together an itinerary with multiple destinations that way. Might help?

I haven't seen those lanes or signs for those lanes in a few years either, I travel mostly in the East and Midwest. But to be honest I never used them because these lane always led to non-TSA Pre-check security which meant taking shoes off, electronics out of my bag etc... So I always stood in the TSA Pre-check line, less hassle.
FWIW- I do really appreciate the "priority check in" lanes when checking bags, I think I have mentioned this in another thread, there are so few perks for A-list/A-list prefrerred travelers, SWA really needs to step their game for their frequent/loyal travelers, (free sketchy internet does not cut it, I mean Delta gives free internet to every sky miles member, I had it the other week and I have basically zero status with Delta.)

Had a connection in Midway yesterday and the gate agent did the boarding "speech" about lining up and when he got to family boarding, he said "up to 2 parents with children 12 and under may board After the A-group, and Passengers needing Extra Time, A-list without A boarding, and On duty military.
Did he go rogue? or have they raised the age to 12 years old now for Family Boarding?
BTW- it was for a flight to Fort Myers, FL (I did not hear the agent for my connection to Omaha give the speech)

This has been and continues to be a touchy subject. WBruceW's comment about the Business Select Fare's advertising is a valid issue because Southwest advertises that with Business Select you get:
"Priority Boarding A-1 to A-15" and they go on to state Business Select gets you, "A better boarding position so you’ll be one of the first Customers to board the plane. In an irregular operation situation, the boarding position is not guaranteed."
So if you are not one of the FIRST customers to board the plane as advertised. Isn't that false advertising??
Maybe it's time to remove these statements from the Business Select Fare description?
OR
Find a practical methodogy to deliver on these promises?
Just a thought

Further devaluing of A-list preferred status by making this perk available to every one. The free internet has been nice when it works, (about 50% of the time), as A-list preferred, but since the service is so inconsistent I can't depend on being able to work on any given flight. So I don't.
Of course the Companion Pass continues to be a great benefit. Wish my spouse could travel with me more but it just isn't practical.
I may need to really look at competing airlines like Delta's status matching Medalion deal after I get my CP this year for 2024. (I just looked at the match chart and A-list preferred only get's you Gold Medallion at Delta for 3 months.) Even Delta knows SWA isn't giving us much of anything for our loyalty.
Come on Southwest step it up and provide some perks to your loyal A-list Preferred Flyers. just my 2 cents

For better or worse EBCI is just that Early Check In, It is NOT "Get A Better Boarding Position." Is it a waste of money for the consumer if they believe they are guaranteed an improved boarding position? Absolutely.
The family boarding policy is equitable if it is actually enforced, in my opinion, but I completely understand your perspective.
That being said, identifying yourself as a frequent flyer of Southwest seems pretty subjective to me. We must have different definitions of what constitutes a frequent flyer. Now I understand if you are not rapid rewards member, but if you aren't and you actually fly with any frequency, you should be. Because if you fly with any frequency you would be a A-list member and EBCI would be a non-issue.
Southwest hands out A-list status to almost everyone who flies several times a year.
(A-List Preferred? now that's a tougher nut, but this year with all the promotions I'm good for 2024 already.)

I don't believe there's rule, but...
I would not describe the middle seat underseat space as "oversized", but would say, in my opinion, that space belongs to the occupant of the middle seat, not the aisle seat occupant. The underseat floor space for the aisle seat is undersized and I typically avoid sitting in an aisle when carrying on since my back pack must then sit under the seat. (I take a window in these cases.)
If I check my bag, then my backpack is my only carry on item and it goes in the overhead and I'll possibly choose an aisle seat in this case.
I would never presume to sprawl out and put my foot in the middle seat's space, but that's just me.
It's just my opinion, but the middle seat stinks anyway so give the unfortunate soul who has to sit there the extra space.

In today's Litigious world, airlines as employers have generally instructed their employees not to lift heavy objects into overhead bins for passengers. The statement I have heard often is, "if you are unable to lift and stow your luggage yourself, we will check your bag." Carryon luggage can weigh from next to nothing to over 50 pounds, so I "get" the airline's position.
The FA was not being rude or singling you out.
Also FWIW, One of the main reason's preboarders are allowed a "plus 1" is to help stow their baggage/devices for them since the FA's are not supposed to lift heavy bulky items into the overhead bins.
