I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to, but the policy and what/if pets are allowed on international flights is mainly determined by the country you are flying to. If you are flying to a country that doesn't allow a certain pet, it doesn't matter what airline your fly, you won't be able to take that pet. Hope this helps.

Another tip I tell those traveling with kiddos is to always pack snacks (suckers are also great during take-off and landing to help with their ears) and buy a bottle of water at the airport (after security) or bring an empty water bottle to fill up at a drinking fountain because when kids get thirsty or hungry, they don't like to wait.

Based on your example, I would say no. When you get the card, you have to designate which Rapid Rewards account is the primary account (i.e., where the points go), your account, or your wife's. Even if you have multiple users of the card, all the points earned will still go into one account. So, if your Rapid Rewards account is the primary, only you will be able to designate a companion (if you qualify for a Companion Pass) to fly with you.

Southwest does not outsource calls. One issue that people deal with is when they Google Southwest from their phones, or whatnot, the first listing or so is not Southwest Airlines. It is a third party that will simply access your reservation through Southwest.com and then charge you all these fees, etc. Like mentioned before, if you can't reach them via Twitter or make the change online yourself, you will need to wait on hold. Just remember, when weather hits, for every flight that has to be canceled, that's approxitmately 140 people per flight that need to be reaccommodated.

If you reached out to Customer Relations and they are sending you a voucher for expired travel funds, it generally only takes a day or two for you to receive it via email. Things can go wrong but generally it only takes 24-48 hours for you to receive it.

In short, yes. (Generally those who have purchased EarlyBird don't purchase upgraded boarding at the airport because you don't need both, but you still can). If there are any boarding positions available between A1 and A15 then you will be able to purchase upgraded boarding at the airport; you don't have to first purchase EarlyBird to be able to purchase upgraded boarding.

You won't be able to book a companion pass ticket using your e-pass. I have pasted the relevant part of the terms and conditions below: "The Companion Pass allows the Member to designate an individual to fly with the Member (such designated individual, the “Companion”) on Southwest Airlines flights purchased by the Member and booked through Southwest Airlines during the Companion Pass validity period. A Companion's reservation is not considered a purchased flight, and therefore, another Companion Pass reservation cannot be booked from it. The Member must first book and purchase his/her flight in cash or points through Southwest Airlines and then book the Companion's flight through Southwest Airlines...."

Southwest does act as the middleman for many hotels, etc., so if you have specific issues with the hotel, it would probably be best to reach out to the hotel directly. Just to go a bit further, Southwest doesn't keep a database of travel funds. Travel funds are linked to the confirmation number and are passenger-specific. So make sure to save your confirmation number so you can use the funds when you book your next flight.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Weather is hectic for all air carriers and as Southwest flights are pretty full these days, it can be difficult to be reaccommodated when weather hits. Anyway, if you requested a refund but you were given travel funds instead, just contact Customer Relations and they would be able to refund the money back to your credit card.

If the ticket is for you, and you changed your name, and you are still flying, then you would need to contact Customer Relations and provide them documentation of the name change so they can change it on the ticket. If you are trying to change the person flying on the ticket, that is not allowable. Hope this helps.

The best part about booking using points is that even if you purchase the Wanna Get Away fare, points bookings are refundable. When you cancel your reservation, the points will be returned to the account they came from. With regard to the taxes and fees you paid, those are refundable as well. If for whatever reason they don't get refunded to you when you cancel the reservation, call or email Customer Relations and they will take care of you. Lastly, with regard to the time frame to use your points, points don't expire as long as you have earning activity in your account at least once every 24 months.
