I did not know that Southwest even accepted Paypal?
Oh they do, it's the main way I pay. I use PayPal for most things when I can and I have used it in this exact scenario to pay the taxes/fees for an otherwise free flight. I feel like it's an extra layer of protection vs entering your CC details directly on a site.
Anyway -- I would have checked my reservation immediately after booking (same day) and I would have started raising an alarm if I didn't see my reservation in my account.

My only exception to this is the extra legroom exit row seats. Don’t be trying to save both of the other seats. Either aisle or window, plus a middle doesn’t bother me.

On vaccinations: At one point, it was required as Southwest is a federal contractor but it has now become part of a gray area. I believe it is requested that you provide documentation of vaccination when you apply for a position, but Southwest does provide accommodations for various exemptions to answer your question. Your recruiter might be able to inform you on how to request an accommodation through the hiring process.
Hope this helps!

I'm going to say, I appreciate your palate choice, but in life there are changes even if we don't like them. My suggestion, go to a bar prior to boarding and drink all the BM's you desire, hopefully that helps.

This isn't trying to be sarcastic, but each window does have a shade that slides up and down. Just FYI. If you're thinking that others might want a window open, there are also certain rows that don't have a window at all. I hope this helps.

Not trying to bully anyone, but I wouldn't consider any refund outside of the policy that I've established. SWA and many other companies worked and tried to do what they could during a crazy time of our lives, but they, or anyone, could guarantee everyone was going to be satisfied. Not just with airlines, but other issues and services as well I had to bite the bullet and move on. No, I wasn't happy, but I've not tried to make others feel bad as like with SWA, there were policies in place that I didn't take the time to fully go over and it's my fault. I hope this is just a minor blip in your life and you can move on and maybe I will see you on a future flight, if not, good, I have an empty middle seat.

I definitely understand the frustration. My biggest issue would be that of price because it doesn't seem to reflect that of a low cost airline. Now a lot of that is due to higher fuel costs right now, so I can give a little slack. As far as the delays and cancelations, all airlines are being affected by weather, pilot/staff shortages, among other things. So, Southwest isn't the only one affected here. Don't forget we're still on our way out of a pandemic. People are still getting sick, so there's going to be callouts.
As far as "Other airlines offer a wider range of nonstop flights and red eye flights!" I will definitely agree with you on the redeye flights and hopefully they're in Southwest's future. As for the nonstop flights, that is true to a degree, but really only if you include long-haul and the regionals (SkyWest, Envoy Air, ExpressJet, etc). Comparing just the domestic mainline networks, Southwest has more airports with more service than most of the legacy carriers. American has the most number of hubs at 10, which means for the most part, on a legacy carrier, you're not going to have service to more than 10 airports unless it's from their hub (American - 10 hubs; Delta - 9 hubs; United - 7 hubs). On Southwest, you can get service to at least 10 airports from a whopping 50 airports! Now some of these are on a more seasonal basis, but that's still a lot of airports with at least 10 nonstop destinations on Southwest. And there's even a lot with service to 8 or 9 airports, not to mention, Southwest has the most nonstop service to Cancun and San Jose del Cabo in Mexico.

Just know that the only thing for certain is, regardless of what's on the card, it's a CHASE card promotion, not SWA. Therefore any scam would be on CHASE, not SWA.

I gave one out this last weekend too. Fantastic, personable FA, Mark, who was just too good to pass up with at least a hopeful effort that the Kick Tail token in my carry on bag still carried any value. I will likely still send in a message to SWA because he was just that good. It just felt funny handing over a Kick Tail ticket that seemed archaic and maybe not actually valuable.

I've been an A-Lister for about 7 years and did also use to get the card. I know it is a to each their own, but I never carried the card with me, and was never asked for it. Much like was mentioned, attendant would look at the next in line and ask, "are you AList or business preferred? I don't think I've ever seen anyone say no, nor have I ever seen somebody moved out of the line for not being one. But honestly, I guess it comes down to who the ticket attendant is, some may enforce it, some may not. What I may mention, this is as recently as 2 weekends ago, in SWA home hub, there was no ALIST line anywhere, and I was even more amazed to see there was no TSA bypass there either.

Did you not notice a bunch of people stand up and leave or a bunch of people show up all at once that’s usually a sign that a gate change occurred and then I would look at the app or the departure board because sometimes things change so fast the gate agent could miss the change because they could be busy working other flights when a change was made.

I agree with the previous comments, Kansas City (MCI) isn't tricky at all, and if you get let off right in front of the check-in area, it's just in the door and go. If you're not checking bags, get let off right at the door with TSA. I've done this airport all the time at an hour before take-off and still had to sit and wait.
Agree, there is basically no walking due to the “pod” setup. If there is anything tricky at 6:15 a.m. I don’t know but it is a really fast airport to get through.

Southwest does not have the planes or crew to do what you want - at the moment. I suspect that changes in the future as the airline has a large number of 737 Max planes on order - 40 of which are supposed to be delivered this year.
Southwest had 741 planes in it's fleet in 2019. SW added something like 24 new destinations since then. Southwest had to retire a bunch of planes that were at end of life cycle, and because MAXs were not being delivered there were no replacements for the retired planes. Thus fleet size shrank. The combination meant that some routes were dropped or the number of flights were reduced.
SW's fleet size at the moment is 732 planes.

I live in NM and have seen on at least 5 news outlets about the issues, SWA and others had over the weekend, and much of that was due to the weather, but other issues as well. I'm not fully aware that is wasn't any hoax that that airline brought up to cover anything up. Since you only posted this 12 hours ago, I'm only going to assume you don't have access to television. Honestly, I'm sorry that you had to experience this, (and the thousands of others) as it's not fun at all to be stranded at an airport (been there/St. Louis) and having plans changed. As for your other issues, I can't help on that end.

Thank @SWFlyer007 for your offer. We are still here in Fort Lauderdale. To make the matter worse, out JetBlue flight was also canceled, Flight 2080, they moved us to next flight 1880 that canceled as well. It was nuts. Airlines take no responsibility when it's weather-related, and I promise you it had nothing to do with the weather. In reality, all other airlines canceled because all the pilots were timed -out, and took on more flights due to demand from southwest cancellation. All 5 of us were there till 5 am, and had to find hotel from 6 am till checkout 11 am for $498. Jetblue said their policy is not to reimburse or give out hotel vouchers. In fairness, Southwest did book us back now and only charged us what i paid originally for my return ticket - so that's positive. Hope everyone else in this situation got back home safely.

First, I don't know that those tags are still a thing 100% of the time. Second, I'm pretty sure thieves don't leave tags behind.
As others have said, many people have access to your bags. The real message here is investigate all options before condemning one that happens to be the most visible option.

Although I know that it won't change anything by posting in this forum, also Lexington would be nice. I'm sure multiple cities have been mentioned to SWA through the proper channels, and I'm sure they are doing their research to see if it make good business sense to add, or delete, any city.

@smoreho3 @mrsstats @TobyLibby This was posted 13 hours ago and the poster mentioned they flew in 7 hours, so this is after the fact posting. I was/am going to suggest that you may just go a bit early and show all your information to the ticket counter and they hopefully can make some type of adjustment for you. I don't know how that works after boarding numbers have been assigned, but maybe you could have requested a pre-boarding pass for the mix-up. I'm curious to know how this came out, can you give us an update please. Thanks.

@supersteak Not only what is previously mentioned, (you and a companion can't be on different flights) when you go to make the change of the original flight, but it won't even process it and will give an error code, "A companion is connected to this flight" and you can't make any changes to your flight until you actually cancel the companion first. I've had to do that so many times even when I wanted to make the change for both of us. I've learned it's easier to make the changes by actually calling SWA agents to have to move us both at the same time.

Southwest uses B and C terminals in LAS if you arrive in one and have to go to the other you may cut it close especially if your 1st flight is late and connection is on time. Personally I'm not a fan of layovers under an hour.
