Are you saying you used points to pay for a flight that was cancelled by Southwest? I'm guessing this occurred during the Christmas holiday. If that's the case, did you submit a request for a refund? That was my situation and Southwest processed the refund after I submitted the request. At this point you will want to write Southwest and explain you did not receive a refund of the points used to purchase the flight. Provide the confirmation number and passenger name(s). Yep, I was in Az for spring training in 2020 when everything shut down and we were out over $1000 in ticlets
It took me a year and going to the BBB to get it back but I did. Also we boughtnew Jamis ebikes and had them over a year with E problems, after over a year I got a complete refund of $4000

If he didn't ever have yours (realized right away it was incorrect and left it onboard) then it would be handled by HOU baggage services if it was turned in right away or else possibly at the future destination if the bag stayed onboard for a future connection until it was noticed as being left behind.
Side note for others: tag your carry-on bags just like your checked bags!
Re-reading this you said no phone number - but was he local to HOU? That would help a lot if he had taken your bag to the HOU baggage service.

I'm not aware of any distinction between counter-check, curbside, and gate check so if you want to use it through the airport the gate check should work.
I don't believe the baggage size allowance applies to baby gear:

I would try Southwest's lost and found as well, I'm not sure if something in the gate area gets turned into the desk at the gate what happens.
Specifically at LAS I did have them refuse to take an item before, I held onto the item and since I had some extra time I chased the person I thought I saw sitting at the seat to another gate and returned it. But that was lucky for them. (Headphones)
The gate agent was not helpful about providing any drop off at the airport.

Sorry I’m late to the party here
I have had this issue tons of times with the Covid changes and I found the easiest solution is to rebook the flight completely because that evil message stays awhile and you don’t want the price to go up waiting on the message to hopefully go away (it looks like the message changed with this round of schedule changes so not sure how long it will stay)
I had a flight changed almost 2 weeks ago as well the price went down since I have enough points I just booked it again then cancelled the original reservation this ensures I don’t get stuck in to a higher price if it goes up during rebooking.
sometimes the change is just a flight number and I ask why did they waste the schedule change waiver on that but oh well
you could also call but I find doing it myself easier one time I did call and the agent didn’t know how to get rid of the message

You did not state the reason for the delayed flight which is going to make a very big difference in whether there will be any compensation for the delay and resulting expenses. Without a reason for the delay you aren't going to be able to pursue this further. Also, this might not have been an oversell situation if you showed up late, past the boarding deadline. The seats may have been given to standby passengers when it appeared you were not going to be taking the flight. Your best bet in situations like this is travel insurance or utilizing the trip delay coverage provided by many credit cards. Assuming you did not purchase travel insurance I would look into any coverage provided by your credit card if you used one to pay for the flights.

I just don't see Provo UT as a Southwest airport. With a population of 115k in the city, that's likely not enough to justify the investment.
You could call Southwest and the Provo UT airport to see if either knows about a Southwest appearance in the foreseeable future.

I assume you are asking about non-stop flights, not direct which in Southwest speak is a flight that stops, but doesn't change planes. These days Southwest is routing most of their international flights through a handful of airports and having people connect through those few places. Based on this trend I wouldn't expect a non-stop OAK-PVR to return, but you never know. Submit your feedback directly to Southwest so they know the demand is there. Today when I checked I received a "Customer Service Adjustment" for 6,000 TQP. So case closed. Apparently just took them a little bit longer. And it seems it may have been manually entered. Usually the system generated point awards are labeled "RR Credit Card Tier Qualifying Points" in my account.

I called Southwest again today while I was in the car. I explained my prior call as well as my post here which was debated as proprietary information which would never be released via the Customer Service line.
I was assured that there is nothing secret about which airports that Southwest intends to add to their list and that I should rest assured that Knoxville TN is not one of those locations, at least not in the foreseeable future.
In addition, I called McGhee Tyson airport and asked about Southwest being a future carrier. After being passed to a few people, I was told that there is no information as to when or if Southwest would use their airport. I also brough up the 2015 renovation of the airport which was intended to "lure" Southwest which didn't happen. I was told that "obviously that didn't work".
So, there you go. The only thing left to do is to invoke my journalist credentials and write a story document sources. But, I'm not that interested.
At this point, I'd suggest waiting another 52 years and see if things change.

So there are several buttons you would hand had to click
1. There would be a pop up telling you that you would need to check in for your flight again (since you say you changed it yesterday and your flight was yesterday so you should have been checked in)
2. You select the flight and it takes you to a screen that shows that the difference in fare would be $0
3. you would click continue where it would show you your info (day of travel info your name and receipt email) where you must click book or make changes (I forget what It says exactly)
4. once you do number 4 it should say your trip is booked and show you the new itinerary instantly and it would update when you type in your confirmation number on the app/website immediately. The email confirmation should come right away.
I have never seen a message that says I will not receive an update right away and I have had many flight irregularities (IROPS) the updated email usually arrives instantly but sometimes it could take up to 10min to hit my inbox.

I have this happen on a desktop while using a Chrome browser.I think there is an issue with the browser and my AVG AV software. I believe the AV has listed southwest.com as a purveyor
of things bad for my computer, so it blocks it.
I'm able to get in by using an alternate address for SW: iflyswa.com
which defaults to southwest.com
