I don't want to call any 800 number and the other alternative provided is to send an email by using the website itself! Now what?? Try accessing the website using a VPN or proxy server (google for more info)... or some people report success accessing their account via the app. Just don't expect a fix anytime soon. Given the delays in fixing the issue... Southwest's IT team is either completely incompetent or this issue just isn't one management actually wants to fix in the first place. 😞

No indication that you need to notify Southwest: Southwest Airlines will not accept human remains as checked baggage; however, a Customer may take cremated remains onboard a domestic U.S. or international flight as a carryon item under certain conditions. We recommend that cremated remains be presented for transport in a temporary plastic or cardboard container. Note: Customers may take cremated pet remains onboard as carryon items under the same conditions.

@mw5000 wrote: Hi @LindseyD Does this mean each of the assigned member can keep ther companion pass? for example, i will issue one for my wife first. But she is too busy to come on a trip. I issued one to my sister so she can come with me. She has a CP card now. Down the road, when my sister cannot come with me to a trip. Can i just take my wife to come on a trip with me without using my third re-issuance for companion pass? hopefully that makes sense. No. After the initial selection of your Companion (which doesn't count as a change), you can change the designated Companion up to three times per year. You'd need to change it back to your wife, which would be the second change. This leaves you one more change this year. If you re-qualify for the CP next year, on Jan. 1 the counter restes and you are given three more changes.

I'm certain Gary Kelly is well aware of the policy, and the money it returns to Southwest in the form of unused travel funds. Keep in mind that -- for now at least -- Southwest still allows you to cancel or change and use funds toward future travel without fee.

The only complaints Southwest care about are the ones filed with the DOT. That is where the published ratings come out that SW is so happy to brag about. Make a formal coplaint with the DOT.

@LindseyD wrote: Hi @Haipham2017, Companion Passes require their own individual reservation, so for the time being, you do have to cancel both reservations. Thanks for letting us know that an improvement you'd like to see is the option to cancel them both together. Hi Lindsey, Thanks for your response. I agree there are 2 separated reservations, however the "companion pass" person can't not fly without the other the same token, he or she have to fly the same flight. This is IT or management issues which did not think ahead in the modern age of computer technology. It is very simple since when I cancel or change mine the computer already knows I have companion so just insert a question "if you cancel/change the companion will be done the same". Hai

FINALLY i was given the points after numerous contacts and having to get a bit ugly with them. But, there is a HUGE problem with the Chase Refer-a-Friend program that could negatively reflect on Southwest. The program is so mismanaged that when someone refers a friend, it can take 8-10 days for that friend to simply receive the invite email. This is why we have computers folks. it should be INSTANTANEOUS. Plus Chase keeps changing the rules, one day the program is in effect, the next it is not, then it is again. since this a program that Chase and SW work together on, maybe SW needs to get Chase to clean up their act. I know if Chase was in charge of the flying itself, I'd never risk my life on one of the planes. i do lover SW. Chase is the problem.

Although your post is a few months old, I will chime in and say that the SWA WiFi seems to be getting worse. I am only able to connect on about 50% of the flights I am on now. The flight attendants are always "resetting" it, but to little avail. I also think the issues are worse on the newer 800 series aircraft. It would appear something has changed that makes connecting more difficult.

My I pad was taken from my checked in bag from LAx to SMF July 17th. No note that TSA checked my bags. Very disappointed when, they allow a service to check in baggage. I have flown 10 times a year, I am very disappointed that I may fly into another airport and not support employees who take belongings from checked in bags.

@rdonley This was in the news back in May: “We’re deciding what our plans are for 2018 and Hawaii is important to us.” – Gary Kelly, SWA CEO. Southwest's new long range aircraft will be joining the fleet in October so that's a big part of the equation.

If not given the option to refund the security fees/taxes when cancelling (on any itinerary where a change was previously made, plus many random "glitches") then the fees/taxes are held as travel funds under the confirmation number of the cancelled flight. You apply them as a payment method when rebooking. They are subject to the same rules as all travel funds -- valid for one year from the date of purchase for the originally ticketed passenger only. One exception: You can call Customer Relations prior to departure and request a refund back to original purchase method. EarlyBird Check-In is not refundable when the customer cancels, but does survive if you make an itinerary change (unless, of course, "glitch"). If you just need to cancel a WGA fare and aren't yet ready to rebook, instead of cancelling just use the change function to rebook as a "dummy" flight -- any flight in the future that's for the same or less fare. Then change that flight when you know your travel plans. This will retain EBCI instead of losing it. 😉

Hi @lcastro1298,
You can check your bag with the dolly attached, but it is larger than our baggage guidelines allow for, there might be an oversize charge. Also, it will probably be conditionally accepted (meaning Southwest does not accept responsibility for damage) because it is an irregular object. You can check with the Ticket Agent to see if they thing it meets the standards for a carryon bag. If it folds up small enough, you could probably put it in the overhead bin.

Ignore the seat savers claim and just sit wherever you want to. If there is not a person in the seat, its open. The faking preboarding is only getting worse. Its such a big joke the SWA employees call them 'miracle flights'. People who needed wheelchairs to pre board get healed in flight and dont need it on exit...
