Flexibility to change flights is one of the best things about SW! See here for how to do it. Hope you find a great destination!

@Rschmitt34 Thank you for your service. As has been said, I do believe the best course of action here would be to first contact SW with an explanation of your situation. The social media channels work well. If that does not work, you should definitely convert the funds to points so that they can be used or others or yourself at a later time.

You can upgrade your ticket to Business Select, assuming those fares are not sold out for your flight. This will get you a A1-15 boarding pass and extra miles for your account. You may be able to pay at the gate for a better place on line if you don’t upgrade. But remember, it’s open seating. If your flight is connecting from another city they may already be people on board before you board. And, all seats arrive at exactly the same time.

A best practice is to book each leg of your trip individually. The benefit is that if one leg goes down, you can rebook and get your points back or a refund or travel funds (depending on ticket type). You can do that without even having to touch the other leg. You can always reach out to SW via social media or the app chat feature if you are looking to rebook at a cheaper price. They can handle that quickly and can isolate the leg of the trip you are looking to change.

You know, until they reach out to C.S. to find out why, she and we will never know. Hopefully, if they want to take the time and effort to vent then they will do that. Maybe somebody got sick, stuck in traffic, whatever. I'm a college instructor and have a "Final Exam" to present to my students at the end of a semester. On my commute to the school I there was a semi overturned and I missed the last exit to detour. I was stuck for over 3 hours. Suffice to say, the final exam didn't happen, (at that time) and many students dire to get home were pretty upset. My fault? We just don't know until they address it to someone who can give an answer, this forum can't.

Uh, no. I'd say there is a reason why I've not had one already. Good to know S.W. focuses on the millennials as opposed to the oldfogiennials.

The flight deals have been amazing! I have booked a few Vegas trips with leftover travel funds, who knows if any of them will actually happen due to quarantines and etc., but one of them is scheduled for late August and I'd love to go. I think that no matter what, I'm going to go to Vegas for NYE for the first time ever and say GOODBYE to this year Vegas-style 😉 --Jessica

Hello, friend I went through this journey two years ago since I misplaced my small wallet after I put on the gas for the rental car. The manager turned the car upside down for me to help me to look for it while I returned my car rental at the Enterprise office in Burbank. I was so stressful about everything at that time. As those top contributors indicated the whole process which I went through exactly what they described on the previous post. I went through the check point and went to the gate to sit down on the chair. Then, I discovered my small wallet was in the secret spot where I had never used it. It fell into this little space of my backpack while I was rush to get back on the road. It was a very scary and hilarious flight to me!

@Passenger1C wrote: I wanted to give kudos to the LAX SWA employees and flight crew on flt# 2074 this past Tuesday to Nashville. From check in to boarding, the process was perfect. Everyone was very friendly and appreciative of our business. Once onboard the plane it was very noticeably clean and felt safe. Thank you SWA for taking our safety to a hole new level. I was about to say if you give a twitter shoutout they can track down the staff for their virtual kick-tails...oh wait, you know that! I would like to get back to Nashville, I had a quick visit a few years back for a green building project which was good if quick.

@dfwskier That is correct about the concourse. ATL can be completely overwhelming for first-time flyers, but SW is concentrated in one half of one concourse. You might even find time to grab some Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, or Savannah's Candy Kitchen -- all close by in Concourse C. Good luck!

Respectfully, I think scam is the wrong word choice. I can assure you it wasn't intentional. That said, SW's wifi is sometimes unreliable. If you reach out to SW via one of their social media channels (see Contact Us below) and kindly explain your experience, I am confident they will make it right.

I love the response that anything under a 5 hour delay is good and all airlines have delays.....that doesn't "fly" with me....perhaps they can use covid as an excuse but every leg of my round trip flight has been delayed and no.....this is NOT happening on all airlines......just eventually getting me to my destination isn't good enough .....flying half the day with SW ain't cutting it....

@neicymae wrote: Seeking info on social distancing. Flying to California with my family of 6. Can't find definite response Through July, Southwest has promised to sell only 2/3rds of the plane, effectively allowing for empty middle seats, to address social distancing needs. As a family, however, you can sit next to each other if you desire, including in middle seats if necessary. Masks are currently required onboard. Hope this helps!

I can totally relate, as SWA pulling out of EWR wasn't easy for me. But... it's for the best (for now) and hopefully the route will return or a new better one will open. Safe travels!

@Kannab72 How fun! BNA is my home airport as well, although I miss it something fierce right now! SW's site is very helpful; here is a good place to start. You might also check out this site's Knowledge Base for all kinds of helpful info about the process of flying with SW. I opt for mobile boarding passes, but you can print your own at home or at the airport. Check out the links about for how you check in, and be sure to do that 24 hours before your flight. Good luck!

Usually they say “booked.” I’m a frequent flier and have many SWA credits so was hoping to use them rather than another airline. I hope they clear it up in a short time.

Though it seems logical to have people stay seated, they are still rather close. Being seated would be better. But, reality then shows if everybody stayed seated until the row ahead of them left, the de-boarding would take much longer. Ever watched how a few people never begin to get thir bag from the overhead, or get other stuff together until time to leave - and make EVERYONE else wait while they deal with things. Drives most people (me) nuts. Also, some of the people in the back would just stand up and leave bypassing those that are following the "rule". Just not going to happen.

SW would be in the best position to answer this and help you with your options. You can reach out to them via one of the "Contact Us" options below! It might be helpful to choose a messaging option in case hold times are longer. Good luck!

@dseitz87 Hi there! Only SW can answer that question. Given that there are return flights, hopefully there will be routing going soon. The schedule internationally is still being ramped back up after the impact of COVID. Feel free to reach out to SW via one of the Contact Us methods below, and good luck!

If a flight booked prior to promotion is changed will it count or must I cancel and rebook?
Hi @dhunts! Members must register for this promotion between May 12 and August 31, 2020, and registration must be completed prior to booking and commencement of travel. Valid on new qualifying flights booked within the promotional time period.
As long as those criteria are met and the flight was originally booked after May 12, it will count. For full terms and conditions, click here.
Thanks!
