I am unsure of your situation. If you are a Rapid Rewards member, sign in and then go to My Account. On top there is a Travel Funds box; click it to see travel funds you have available (assuming they have been made in the past 6 months or so). If they are there, then wait a couple of weeks (my guess as to when it will be done) and the programmers will write the code so you can convert Travel Funds to RR points, which will show in your account afterward (on top when you sign in). RR Points do not expire and you can use them for anyone you wish for travel on SWA. (When you go to book flights, just check the Points box on top of the page where the available flight are shown. If you don't see it, call SWA to book. Of course booking with points does not get you points for those flights, but not likely a big deal for you.

I want an answer to the SAME question asked by GCStanley... if the plane is sold out or almost full, will Southwest truly expect people who don't know one another to sit side by side??? It's one thing to say, gosh folks, just spread out. But I have a flight on Memorial Day. I'm expecting that there will be passengers for every seat that Southwest has available. So... in order to maximize revenue, WILL SOUTHWEST IGNORE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND REQUIRE PASSENGERS TO SIT BESIDE PASSENGERS THAT THEY DON'T KNOW???

If you use twitter that might be a way to get some response on the flights portion of the travel, but the twitter account doesn't cover Vacations side of the business as far as I konw.

Nicole . . . Is it true what Blake said, that Southwest Rewards phone number is not who I should call for follow up of gift card delivery?? And that I should call More Rewards customer service?? If so, what is the More Rewards phone number?
Yes @bec102896 is correct. The number to reach More Rewards regarding your gift cards is 1-800-833-4861 (option 1). Thanks!

@tkb89 wrote: Upon reading of the temporary reversal of the policy, I emailed SWA requesting a voucher for my early bird fees. First, I also received the same email as posted by the previous user, however, that email was followed up with an email stating that I was mistaken in thinking that the policy had been reversed and was told I was denied the voucher. Being told no after being told yes is unprofessional and frustrating, and seems to go against the revised policy. You were denied a voucher? Try reaching out one more time, but to the Customer Relations department (not the regular customer service staff). You can reach them quickly via Facebook or Twitter private message. Good luck!

If you're struggling to figure out how to meet your "spend" (which is the dollar amount to spend to get the promised points/miles within a time frame), then understand that Chase and most banks accept a credit card charge to Plastiq . . . which is an online payment site where you can use a credit card to pay your rent or mortgage or just about anything else where normally the landlord does not accept credit cards. You simply set up your Plastiq account (takes 5 minutes) and add your landlord's mailing address and contact detail for a "paper check" to be mailed to him. Easy as pie . . . plus if you go to any of the youtube coaching websites, they will provide you their referral link to save even more. As an example: If your rent is $1000 a month, and you pay it with a credit card through Plastiq, then in addition to the $1000 payment charged to your credit card will be their standard credit card fee of around 2% (which is what most stores have to pay). So the $1000 rent check would cost you $20 more to use your credit card. But if you sign up using a referral link to Plastiq, you can charge up to $500 on your card without having to pay the 2%. Therefore, you pay your rent of $1000 and it only costs you $1010 to finalize. Also, if you asking if it's worth paying 2% to pay bills through Plastiq, then look at the amount of bonus you will be receiving: 50,000 points is worth 500.00 in free department store and other store branded gift cards through Southwest . . . so if you paid $40 in fees to pay $2000 in charges . . . you're still very very ahead! To learn more, go to Youtube and type in "using plastiq for minimum spend "

Sincere Thanks to all who helped with their (expert) advice. Especially chgoflyer who provided very specific wisdom, instructions and advice. I followed your advice on reaching out to SWA via Facebook - and the rep I worked with was extremely helpful - and we were able to quickly reach agreement on a solution that was (not perfect but) fair to SWA and fair to me. Note To Self - I will "never" cancel a reservation this far in advance again. No I know better! Thanks again to all! 🙂

I received this message directly from Southwest: "It will take our Technology Teams a few weeks to make these changes to the expiration date of the funds, and we appreciate your patience while our Teams work quickly to make this happen. Until the update has gone through with technology, be sure to keep track of your confirmation number in the meantime." Hope that helps. Stay healthy and safe!

@Famdangocruiser if Southwest cancelled your flight then you are entitled to a refund if you request it. You need to get in touch with their Twitter or Facebook teams, or call Customer Relations (it's a different phone number than the normal customer service number). See this thread for an example of a successful refund: https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Travel-Policies/What-Southwest-are-y-all-flying/m-p/104685 There is a different thread where a customer had to contact Southwest multiple times (I can't find that thread now) but was eventually refunded. Please post when it's resolved for you or if you have any problems.

" Hi @anyonebutswa. Thank you all for coming here and sharing your concerns. I know everyone is hurting, and I'm so sorry if we've been letting you down throughout these unprecedented circumstances. While we are not making exceptions to refund nonrefundable fares canceled by our Customers, I urge you to contact Customer Relations to discuss your individual situations if Southwest canceled your reservation. It's important to note that our Customer Relations Department is a different Department than 1-800-I-FLY-SWA. While Customer Relations' phone lines are not open on weekends, they respond on Facebook and Twitter 24/7/365. Thank you. Nicole Community Manager Nicole, I called Customer Relations after speaking with customer service and was told in no way could i receive a refund. While i appreciate that we have been given until June of 2021 to use the $1800 we have in credits, I would prefer to have the cash back in my bank account. I asked to speak with a manager several times while speaking to the customer relations dept and was told I would have to leave them my phone number and they would call me back. It has been four hours and still have not received a call back from a manager. BTW, thanks for trying to help others.

My husband and I had 3 trips booked with Southwest (non refundable) which were credited to our travel funds due to the pandemic. We have 2 more trips booked that will probably have to be cancelled. All have non refundable early bird fees. I called customer service and it was suggested to reschedule the next 2 trips to maintain the early bird fees. Great to know! Southwest should credit to travel funds all early bird fees since Southwest is crediting non refundable tickets. Early bird credits should be included in the policy. Disappointed in so many ways!

This isn't an issue or question of refund vs. travel credit. I'm happy to get either, because I know I'll fly again soon. It's just a bit surprising that it wasn't automatic. Everything else on their system is so well automated . But I suppose it speaks to the fact that I fly them quite a bit and have never had a full cancellation (beyond minor itinerary adjustments) Given that these are extraordinary time , I guess it's no shocker that things have to be done a bit more manually .

@murphysister04 wrote: Yay! Thank you, SW, for doing this. We wanted to be able to rebook with SW when times get better. Really appreciated on our part. I know it may still befuddle us to figure things out, but it really helps that you extended the expiration date for trips made up to the original date. This makes it easier on families with many travelers, as the fee of $100 per person, adds up, especially when there are lots of kids, and several trips to consider. Very much appreciated! What date will it be possible to start rebookings online? You have two separate issues, one is Southwest revising its software to allow the extension of travel funds which they have said is on the order of weeks. The second issue that Southwest releases its schedule in chunks at a time, currently through October so you won't be able to book trips for next summer until the schedule is released roughly nine months out. I hope this helps.

Southwest, like all airlines around the world, is trying to survive right now. The terms were clearly laid out when you purchased EBCI. They are losing much more than you, and I suggest it is unfair that you expect them to make an exception in this regard. It isn't your fault, but it isn't their fault either. Honestly, EBCI is a relatively small amount, and they are just playing by clearly state and fair rules.
