Even tough SW is extending flight dates they are not doing anything for Group travel. I understand the policy for group travel, however in our group of 10 ,9 are over 70 and have concerns. Our original flight cost was $316. per person., that same flight today on the days we scheduled fly is 198 round trip. As a group we do not get a lower fare or a voucher credit for the reduction in cost. I understand this part of the policy also. We still want to go in the future and are not looking for a refund just a voucher, even going at the cost we paid for the flight. I am not a travel agent, this was my first time attempting a group trip in my retirement community. I must say it has been a learning and costly experience for all of us involved.. I am also a RR member but my RR points will not be used for future flights. I have a flight booked in June which I will cancel and fly another airline.at whatever the cost. I think during this world crisis, group purchases should be given the same perks as a individual purchase. I have vented and still feel a group purchase is pretty close to a type of discrimination. Look for the group purchase post by a group of young people in a band and because of the crisis or in the same boat. They did a fund raiser to go on this trip. This will stay in there minds as adults and more then likely never fly SW . Saltmanone

@dow44 The WIFi login page where Members put in their credentials is secure so their information could not have been pulled from inflight. Typically these situations occur when someone gains access to a Rapid Rewards Member's login credentials and successfully authenticate with the correct username or password.

Unable to cancel on SW .com because of group purchase
I'm so sorry for the long hold times, @saltmanone. Unfortunately, to cancel a Group Reservation, you'll need to call the Group Travel Services number to make the request at 1-800-433-5368 Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to midnight Central time.
If you are requesting a refund for any reason, please follow up the call and cancellation with your request in writing to SouthwestGroupTravelRefunds-DG@wnco.com along with any supporting documentation for our consideration. While our Agents have all hands on deck, we're still experiencing extremely high volumes, so we will be able respond within 5-7 days.
Thank you for coming here with your questions. I know the circumstances are not ideal, and we deeply appreciate your patience.

Or, stated in a different way, do the Reward points returned to my account after I cancel a flight somehow get "tagged" and potentially get deleted if I don't use them in a year? No, RR points are not treated the same way as travel funds. They are returned to your RR account and can stay there until you decide to use them - or stay there forever.

My wife and I booked a nonstop flight from dtw to phx back in Dec. Southwest cancelled the nonstop and made it a connecting flight via Den. I went on line and sampled a mult city flight with the exact same schedule and was less expensive than the original connecting flight. I called southwest last and they said I could not get the travel credit and my bags would not transfer. I some explain why. Thank You Jeff

Looks like OP deleted the duplicate post where I had posted this response so I'll try again. I'm trying to understand what happened. Which flight did you pay for? If you booked the later flight then that's the flight you'll need to go on, even if there is an earlier one and you are sitting there waiting. You could have paid the difference in fare and gotten on the earlier flight if there was a seat available. This perk to change flights at no cost is available for A-List flyers. --TheMiddleSeat

Suggestion, follow the lead of the cruise ships and have a fight attendant at the entrance to the cabin with a dispenser of Purell or similar hand disinfectant and apply it to everyone upon boarding. ALSO supply disinfectant wipes to every passenger for them to disinfect their personal space. There isn't sufficient time between flights to do a complete and thorough cleaning/disinfecting. Not taking anything away from your efforts but given the mindset of most travelers at this time, the fact that they can help in the fight of this disease and protect themselves and others with this process would be priceless. At Walmart a 4 package of Clorox wipes is less than $13 about 4 cents a piece. At a volume that you would be buying I am sure the cost would be less than half. Think about it, material cost 2 cents and free labor. From this you will undoubtedly help assuage peoples concerns, and keep more people flying as well as help to limit the spread of disease. This situation is not one to be reactionary, Southwest should take the lead and be proactive in this fight. CDC, WHO, government historically are behind the curve. I would gladly forgo a bag of crackers for a couple disinfectant wipes. Maybe Southwest can be the first air carrier to have the term "Germ tube" no longer apply.

Just as an FYI per the Department of Defense, member are not authorized to travel in uniform. The only time this is authorized is if a member is to report directly to a duty station or a military flight where they are required to be in uniform or will not have the opportunity to change in uniform. So, your policy of military boarding only captures a very small percentage of members that could use this.

Also, your odds of securing low boarding positions (meaning seats together) improve with the purchase of EarlyBird. We know that's not always a desirable option, so for good measure, always be sure to check in exactly 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure when you do not purchase EarlyBird.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family onboard!

In no way do I want to "be heated", but I just thought I'd check back to this post. #Vegas is not a better experience than it was before when parking was free at every casino even the Bellagio. That's just me, though i haven't heard anyone saying they like the paid parking vs. the "old" days. It definitely has changed my behavior. I used to like to rent a car and go to red rocks, hoover dam, etc. to keep the variety of activities up. Now I uber to the strip and stay fewer days. 4 queens is an experience with all the characters around, but I typically stay overnight on the strip. Maybe I'll try downtown sometime. Resort fees are so lame/weak that it is being legislated to stop them and have more transparent, voluntary pricing. You can't exactly opt out of the value add like you can flying the airlines. But if you like and appreciate those fees, that's ok, I've just never been a fan. As far as the employee parking goes, longtime Southwest flight attendants told me about it and I took them for their word. I was just blown away at that. I always considered Southwest extremely generous. It has good drink selections, sends birthday cards with comps, and my last playing card set I got sitting on a plane was on a Southwest flight. I LOVE BAGS FLY FREE! I think it definitely works for me. I don't want to think about all the silly fees and upcharges at the other airlines. Now Southwest is in Hawaii and why would you consider Hawaiian with those obnoxious bag fees? I'm sure this will go away soon enough. Perhaps when Kelly leaves. I remember when JetBlue didn't charge. It was great. Then they kicked the CEO out so they could nickel and dime on the baggage. Poor Barger. Poor customers. It is a pity, and a little petty, that parking to work at an airport in Texas would have to be negotiated in a contract with the unions, but I'll say Southwest has a history of being fiscally conservative. So at least it isn't a mystery, albeit shameless. I don't think any Hobby Southwest employee would be upset if they had comped parking. But i do admit there are some things I can't understand. Nuts!

Here's one for the books: Recent flight I was on... I was in an aisle seat. In my peripheral vision, I saw the passenger in the aisle seat across from me open their laptop and proceed to edit what turned out to be an adult video for a podcast! SMH!!! Fortunately, I didn't see any kids walking towards the forward lav. When I went to the lav, I mentioned it to one of the FA's. She told me I wasn't the first to mention it to her. And, that she and the other FA's had made trips up the aisle trying to catch the passenger doing this. But, she said unless she and another FA saw it for themselves, they couldn't even ask the person to close the laptop. I mention this as one of SWA's competitors is now training their FA's on how to deal with passengers viewing X-rated videos on-board. I'm not a prude. Nor am I a voyeur. But, as a retired TV engineer and long-time tech geet, I notice when people use electronics. As I said before, this one had me SMH!

Good evening,
I dont know if you are who im supposed to reach out to. We flew home from LAX today as we were there for my birthday and went to Disneyland for my big day. While there we bought ornaments and brought them with us on our flight thinking that if we checked them they would be damaged. Unfortunately when we brought them on the plane we put them up in the carry on and one of the flight attendants helped another SWA customer with their bags and slammed their bag in to one of our ornaments. We initially didnt think it would be a big deal as Disney packs them with quite a bit of safety care and tons of tissue paper to ensure they dont break. When we just got home we wanted to double check everything and indeed one of the ornaments is broken
What can be done to rectify this issue?
