I am praying for food and drinks on my SW flight to Hawaii so I'm really mot understanding why anyone would complain about it. If you are so uncomfortable then I would suggest stay off planes. Everyone on a plane has been vaccinated including yourself I would guess so why would you be complaining and unconmfortable unless you are one of those people that complains about everything. Its OK if people like you decide not to fly SW that makes it that much nicer and comfortable for the rest of us that will remain SW loyal. I thank SW and all there employees for sticking it out and putting there lives in danger for us. It takes a special kind of person to do that for people they don't even know. You are all brave and couragious. Keep up all the great work and thank you again

You could tell SW that you'd like to see that happen by contacting Customer Relations. https://community.southwest.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Contact-Customer-Relations/ta-p/108355

When you get to the airport, be sure to let the gate agent know of your request. Upon boarding there will be a flight attendant at the front of the plane - right by the door to the cockpit. Make sure that person knows, too. I'm pretty sure they'll make some kind of arrangement. I did that as 9 year old -- a very long time ago. It was fun.

Hi @tredav609. I am so sorry for the frustration. I just heard back from our Mobile Team that this is a known issue, which has been sent to our Technology Team. While it goes through this process, you'll need to log in manually, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you are pre-boarding, you are allowed to have one person pre-board with you. I saw this enforced a couple of weeks ago. Someone was pre-boarding in a wheelchair, and they had like 6 people who tried to pre-board with them. They got really upset when they were told no. "Never heard of such a thing", they said. However, last week, I saw an elderly lady pre-board with a child of maybe 3 or so on her lap with what I presume to be the child's mother, and the gate agent simply asked if was her grandson and smiled. It is a matter of just what is reasonable. If your concern is just getting three seats together, and you want to pre-board because the child is autistic, and you want to get settled in with her, just ask. That won't be a problem, and, again, gate agents will be reasonable if you are. Remember that the child will have to wear a mask on the plane. If they ask, make sure you say they can. Do not be ambiguous or say anything other than a firm yes.

Flying free for pretty much the basic size is such a great perk. Just try and protect them and y'all should be good to go.

I think Baton Rouge is definitely a possibility, but I can't say if it'll ever happen. I personally think there's a lot of growth opportunity for Southwest with their already extensive domestic network.

Not sure about the purpose behind your smarmy "rant." Southwest is already one of the worst airlines when it comes to forcing paying customers to smother themselves with medical devices (face masks). The flight attendants, gate agents, and even some ramp workers who work here are some of the most hypocritical people on the face of this planet. They'll deny you boarding for not social distancing, yet they themselves HUG each other in the gate (you often see this while waiting for your flight). Another classic case of rules for thee, but not for me. I'm not sure how "bully passengers" applies here when passengers have no power. The U.S. government steals our money through taxation and gives it to criminal corporations like airlines. EVERYONE could boycott Southwest today...and it would still be in business because the Federal Reserve keeps printing money and giving it back to the airlines. The ostensible "private ownership" of Southwest is a mere illusion. The ONLY reason I fly Southwest is because they allow you to choose your own seat; that's about it. Other than that, none of the employees have any redeeming qualities.

In case you missed it, there are vaccines that protect against that virus. And there is about a one in a million chance of contracting covid in an airplane. Why shouldn't a fully vaccinated heart failure patient be allowed the mask exemption in any case? The policy is a bit bizarre, if there are 120 people on a 160 passenger plane, not wearing a mask is fine for one passenger. If there are 121 people on the plane, the mask exemption is a deadly menace to all onboard.

Try returning to the airport to see if the ground crew has it. If not, DM them on social media with a description and see if they can track it down for you. Best of luck!

We have not gotten it yet, and we may not get it due to health reasons. We have not had the Covid either. Will we lose our money if the rules change by July when we want to travel if we purchase tickets now, and by July vaccines are required? We have saved a lot of years for this vacation, and can't afford to lose the money if rules change. Does anyone have any answers to my questions? thanks There's been no indication from the federal government that proof of vaccine will be required to travel domestically, but you are asking for someone to look in a crystal ball and predict the future. International is a different story and some other countries have indicated vaccines could be required. --TheMiddleSeat

I have a couple of questions about an upcoming flight and there's NO WAY to contact Southwest other than calling. However, there's at least an EIGHTY-FIVE minute wait with no option for a call back or anything else. Of course, your "live chat" doesn't work and yet it's in the middle of the day. As a long-time and loyal Southwest customer I'm NOT a happy camper. 6 1/2 hrs calling cell phone company. Started at 17:30. At midnight the "Please wait your call is important to us" changed to "We are now closed our hours are 07:00 to 24:00 please call during these times. THAT would be frustrating and maddening.

You can also let the flight attendant know you're a bit anxious -- they'll do what they can to take care of you with the SWA LUV. Additionally, try distracting yourself in the moment as much as possible. Hope everything goes smoothly,

This very thing is one reason why I don’t book those “multi-itinery” flights because I don’t understand how baggage claims works or if you have to go through security again at the airport (or not). I’d rather not deal with the complications and have it all on one itinerary. —Jessica

When Southwest cancels your flight, you are entitled to a refund to your original form of payment. If you paid by credit card, it'll go back to your credit card. If by debit card, it'll go back to your debit card. If by travel fund, it'll go back to your travel fund. Alternatively, the airline should allow you to rebook the itinerary at a different time/date within 14 days -- any available seat at no cost What is your travel date? You can contact the airline. I would advise against calling today as there are lots of weather related cancellations and a gazillion people are trying to call .Wait times are awful. There are other less painful ways to contact Southwest. https://www.southwest.com/html/contact-us/index.html?clk=GFOOTER-CUSTOMER-CONTACT-US

@dealm8ker wrote: You guys are not addressing my issue. I earned Companion Pass in 2019 AND 2020. To earn it in 2020, I spent over $100,000 on the Southwest Credit Card. If I had known that the 2020 Companion Pass was going to be worthless, I would have spent that money on my Disney card and would have earned at least $1,000 in Disney Dollars. I actually lost money by earning Companion Pass in 2020. No need to double post. That just complicates matters. You haven't "lost" any money. Your 2020 pass isn't "worthless". You're just mad that they extended the pass for free due to Covid. Oh well. Life goes on. You made over $1600 in RR points. Last I checked, that's worth more than $1000 in Disney dollars. Yes, you weren't able to game the system to maximize your benefit due to Covid, and SW extending the 2020 CP for free. So you're EXACTLY where you'd have been had Covid not hit. And yet you're complaining? Next time, I suggest you dig out your crystal ball and see what the future has in store. This way, you'll maximize your benefit, and not get mad when someone gives you something free that you already worked for. Or you could just think about things more realistically. That's what I do. (I also have that "worthless" 2021 CP)

@gsking I think this is what you're saying, but I will express it another way... On all the flights I've gotten off, they actually allow you back on the plane before they even start with pre-boarding.

Hello, glad to hear that things turned out well for you. The best way to make sure the Flight Attendant receives recognition is to send the compliment directly to SW. If you have the FA's name, please include it. Since this is a customer to customer forum, you are not doing that here. Here's how to do so: https://community.southwest.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Submitting-a-Customer-Service-Compliment/ta-p/87243
