I repeat... no forms are required at Burbank. It's business as usual. It was the same at LAX in July. Nothing to worry about whatsoever.

I agree, no WiFi can be frustrating! In terms of work, I always plan to do work that doesn't require a connection to the internet and if I do have a connection, which is the vast majority of the time, I can e-mail and text as needed for free with Southwest ALP. I have yet to fly an airline that has 100% uptime with their intent connections, including United...I think it's a big gap/problem that all airlines need to address!

@poster7855 Every announcement had to include how to wear a mask, not take it off and to make sure you kept it on properly. You would think all the passengers were kindergartners That’s happening more places than just Southwest. I was on a United flight from Saint Louis to Chicago today for a 46 minuted flight and there were probably 20 announcements. On approach to O-Hare the FA got on the PA and shamed a passenger in about row 10 in to covering his nose with his mask. After he did so, she thanked him

Just FYI @ffflyer it would be best to start a separate thread on your own question, but the answer is “no” because you would have to check in with another boarding pass and board the plane twice. Customers of Size have this option as discussed above, and I believe musicians can purchase a second seat for things like cellos. There may be a few other exceptions I’m not aware of, but they all involve bringing something onboard that can’t go in an overhead bin.

Short answer yes you must name the child as your companion, keep in mind SWA limits the number of times you can change your designated companion on an annual basis

Unfortunately at this time you can't cancel just 1 person off of a reservation online you would need to reach out to Southwest at 800-435-9792, use the in app chat feature, or reach out to Southwest on Facebook/Twitter for assistance. I find social media and the in app chat to be the quickest as wait times on the phone will be long. If the other passenger doesn't need to use the funds right away you could also cancel the other passenger at the airport at the ticket counter since you can cancel up to 10min prior to departure. -Blake

That's an interesting point. Weather, airport closures, etc, are all things I hadn't considered much (yet), but when you say free stock, I'm not talking about free stock. I'm talking about converting additional money, besides the price of the plane ticket, that passengers have paid for the "insurance" to go towards the purchase of the stock. So, this is money that the passenger has already paid to the airline, and the money would stay with the airline even if it is the airline's stock. But, to answer your actual question, perhaps there would be a policy where, if your flight is the first flight after a plane has arrived from a route where there were some type of delay(s), then the flight would be eligible for stock purchasing with the pre-provided "insurance" money. If your flight is 2+ stops away from where an unavoidable delay has occurred, then the flight would be ineligible for this 'feature'. Or maybe, the policy says that "you have 4 hours from the posted departure time (determined 2 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time) to get the plane in the air." I'm just thinking about these things while typing them out, FYI. They don't sound bad in my head, but that doesn't mean they're actually good.

As @TheMiddleSeat stated that shouldn't be a problem as i personally have gone with my grandparents to pick up my cousins and I was 18-20 years old they let all 3 of us get a gate pass so you shouldn't have any problems especially since you would have a baby.

LUV vouchers are usually issued as compensation because of flight delays they are valid for a year. Other times the voucher could be issued as a way to extend travel funds that type of voucher is valid for 6 months but usually vouchers because of flight issues or baggage issues are valid for a year.

Pardon my skepticism, but ANYONE can claim to be someone else -- in this case Al Timpauer Southwest Airlines B737 Pilot If Big Al was sending that to prospective members of a hunting party , do you really think he would have put Southwest Airlines B737 Pilot in his message? Why? Why don't you tell us exactly how Big Al contacted you. Something smells awfully fishy.

So I was able to connect to it and it took me to the SW portal and SW community but other sites like Twitter it didn't work unless I paid for the Wi-Fi. Normally if I'm not connected to the southwest network I won't have access to the in flight portal. In this case I could also see the movies, live tv, flight tracker using this network but never seen the network before this flight. Maybe if I see it again I'll stay on the plane and let everyone else get off first when we arrive to see if the network vanishes once other customers are gone.

Some airports call it the premium passenger lane. Keep in mind if you use the flyby security it usually won't include the pre check access so if you have pre check you will be better off going to that line. -Blake

@yogamon Do you know every city your plane was scheduled to be in today? It is so naïve to look only at the weather where you are and think "it's totally clear, everything should be fine". Your plane could have been in 6, 8, 10 cities today. And once again, flights are not cancelled solely because not enough seats are sold. --TheMiddleSeat

35 minutes? Ugh..... Lots of factors obviously go into connecting flights....you might want to take a look at the historical delays from your arriving and connecting flights... Are there additional flights in case you miss your connection? Are those flights at capacity/ sold out? Secondly, are you the last flight out? If so, SWA seems to be more accommodating to connections at the end of the day (I know after having sat on flights delayed for 45+ minutes waiting for connecting passengers) What gate do you land at and what gate is the departure for the connecting flight? Even If you land "on time" but by the time you disembark and then the time it takes you to get from one end of the airport to the other..even if you make it on time, welcome to your "Middle Seat"even though you are holding A-19! Typically if you are "first flight out" in the morning, you will be OK..anything after that is a crapshoot Wish you luck!

The good news is that all Apple devices running the most recent software (14.X as of this post) are compatible with the video options on the portal. Supported browsers are Safari and Chrome (the most recent two versions) so make sure you’re using either of those. Additionally, there is no need to use additional software (like AirTime Player) since the latest versions of these browsers have DRM capabilities. If these aren’t your primary devices it might be a good idea to make sure they’re plugged in and connected to WiFi the night before your flight. Often, devices coming home from a trip connect to a WiFi network for the first time onboard the aircraft and attempt to run background services, all of which will be restricted onboard, and will result in that device constantly resetting its network connection. I personally have the SouthwestWiFi network set as a “low data” network on my iPad for that very reason. To do this next time you’re connected onboard: Go to Settings Click WiFi Click the i next to SouthwestWiFi Toggle on “Low Data Mode”
